Sailor Saturn of Destruction

Sailor Saturn was the last of the planetary senshi to appear and also the most powerful short of Super Sailor Moon or Eternal Sailor Moon. Saturn is called the senshi of Destruction because she is given the power to destroy entire worlds with 3 words: "Death Reborn Revolution". However, when she uses that attack, even she can not escape the devastating effects. Sailor Saturn uses Death Reborn Revolution at the end of the S season to destroy Master Pharoah 90--as Master Pharoah 90 can only be destroyed by a single attack from within. The use of this attack killed Saturn in S, but she was reborn as an infant and returned to Professor Tomoe by Super Sailor Moon. Saturn does not reappear until Sailor Stars--I assume that her absence in SuperS is because she is still growing up.

Hotaru Tomoe, prior to awakening as Sailor Saturn was an extremely frail girl being raised to be the Messiah of Silence. She also had no friends except for Chibiusa who became very close to Hotaru. As Mistress 9 took over Hotaru's body, the outer senshi were desperate to put an end to the great evil--even if it meant sacrificing Hotaru!! However, Hotaru is not so easily beaten--Mistress 9's dominance over the human body is interrupted by lapses of Hotaru's consciousness surfacing. In the end, Hotaru was able to defeat Mistress 9 from the inside out--and thus awakening as the senshi of destruction: Sailor Saturn. It cost Saturn her life to destroy Master Pharaoh 90, but she was reborn and by Sailor Stars, she was old enough to jump right back into action with the other senshi.

The first threat in Sailor Stars is Nepherenia resurrected. Swearing revenge on Sailor Moon, Nepherenia takes away all that is dear to Usagi. Eventually, All the senshi are trapped frozen in mirrors by Nepherenia although Saturn and Chibimoon were the only ones (besides Sailor Moon) to make it to Nepherenia's throne room. Nepherenia's evil was defeated--but the one who resurrected her (Galaxia) has not even made her appearance. Sailor Saturn stays to fight Galaxia too, but really, there isn't very much focus on her as attention is turned to the new Sailor Starlights.
