Appearances:  Halloween 1999;  Fanime Con' 2K; Japan Town, SF--Cherry Blossom Festival 2001 My what a popular costume.... Items needed to Refine: A blue cloak thingy with angel wings on the back (???  ::shrugs::), black tank top, blue skirt, 3 silver buttons, black skin-tight shorts, black socks, two arm..... cover things, black shoes,  2 large silver rings with a silver chain. The perks:  -Whee magic!                     -People *know* who you are (many photo ops)                     -good for standing outside in those long dealers room lines....                     -if you're really lucky, a discount for being a pretty girl ^---^                     -many nifty poses to play with The SCARY:  -Rinoa Fanboys O.o Dear god, I need my Squall                     -Can't move too far without being stopped                     -All those feathers get in the way.... Problems:  The weapon just doesn't wanna stay ON.  And the cloak's a bit too big.  Also lacking in a Squall can be a problem in many situations.... Costume Memory Quotes - Others: "Um, can I take your picture?" (standard) "So.... where's Squall?" (O.o  Uh oh...  Fanboy alert!  Gah!!) Current Status:  Active and ready to be worn.  Calling Rinoa:  "If you call out...  I will answer..."  Just find me a Squall first.  Or a guy Sephiroth's good too.  ^---v^  (I'd pick Seph over Squally any day.  ^O^) Costume Background: Well I got FF8 the year it came out for my b-day (September).  Come Halloween it was the first easy and *do-able* thing that came to mind (last minute decisions don't pay off.... particularly on the week you need it).  So the costume was made and worn for the day.  Back then I was still kinda tight on cash so Halloween costumes had to be used again for Fanime when the time came (O.o glad that's not true anymore.  It's a perk of being in a group).  Then when I heard about the Cherry Blossom festival for 2001, I decided to go.  I didn't have time to make anything new so I decided to wear a past costume and since I like this one the most, it got chosen.  That and it was an excuse to re-highlight my hair.  But I didn't want to be completely cheap so I made a weapon for the costume during the little time I had.  Nice to have a good weapon for once anyway.  Many hours and countless visions of feathers when I closed my eyes later, it was finished and lo and behold it all paid off.  The Shooting Star got Rinoa a prize.  Yatai!! Comments: Fuuun ^--^  However it can be frightening when a Rinoa fanboy only calls you Rinoa after seeing you wear this...
