ARC Awards         Welcome to the "trophy room" of ARC.  Basically we're just gonna stick all of our little acknowledgments here.  ^^           So far ARC has won overall 2 awards.  Not bad for a new group.  (1 is a group award and the other an individual member award). Fanime Con' 2001-Most Humorous Award!!!!  (certificate and Jubei DVD):  Yatai!  ARC's first award!  Actually this is partly how ARC was *really* put together.  Once we won something, it became a good idea for us to be a biiit more organized.  Hm, but to tell the truth...  in a way we might of won because we messed up so bad on our skit it was funny.  Our lighting and sound was messed up, which threw some people off track (not to mention added some dead space of improvising O.o), some of the signs were upside down, the pointer went flying (^^;;;), one sign holder quit just as we were going up (that would be the dialogue holder.  "Ah!  What did the sign say?  I don't know my lines!")..... plus a few other bad "incidents" that occurred, unplanned.  Basically it got a bit chaotic, but hey, we won so I guess it all worked out.... sort of.  (I somehow get the feeling they were laughing at us and not with us ^^;;).  We'll try to do even better next time!  ^---v^     Cherry Blossom Festival 2001-Third Prize, Best Costume (Keroberos plushie and participation stuff):  Here's ARC's second award, given to SU-chan for her Rinoa costume at the Cherry Blossom Festival up in the windy and, well, COLD San Francisco.  (Yay!!  Making the weapon paid off!!  But sheeeeeez how can Rinoa stand shorts and a tank top in such cold weather?!)  There were so many great costumes there, some of which were from Fanime which was a few weeks earlier.  Well after a couple ours of anime fan bonding, and a few Rinoa poses during the judges interview later (Pretty much every Rinoa pose except for the winning one.  They made me do the bouncing-in-place thing too ^^;;;  Oh well), the awards were announced right before "the walk" and to SU's pleasant surprise she got one of the many (sort of.  guess about 20 people or so out off 100-something) third prizes.  Wai!!  At the prize collection time after the parade, SU was asked which she wanted:  the "yellow thing" (Keroberos) or the kodama.  Well she chose the "yellow thing" of course, knowing what creature it really was and all.  (-.-  I still want the kodama though....  I'll just buy it myself one of these days). 2002-Second Place (Ranma TV Series DVD Box Set, participation items, Float ride):  Third ARC award t SU for her Lulu outfit (incomplete at the time as well!).  Most likely was a pity award because SU was the only Lulu, Lulu is a hard costume and, well, those belts make it very difficult to walk down that many blocks in SF.  SU needed that float ride! Truithfully, SU was quite glad to not win 1st this year... wanted DVDs not a giant Totoro.   ^^;;;  Pictures of the awards and prizes'll be up as soon as they're scanned, so please be patient and come again!
