Not Our Baby (Part 1)
By: Rocket Jessie Musashi
Rating: PG? Anyway, it mentions Jessie's water breaking¦.It's harmless¦
really!
Disclaimer: These characters are not mine¦although I REALLY wish that they
were!
Editor's note: This is part 1 of a series that I am working on. I will try
to crank one part out every week. It simply follows the life of Jessie and
James after the birth of their daughter, "Rose." I am a serious
Rocketshipper. So be warned: there will be a lot of romance, and stuff. J
There will be some flashbacks on Jessie and James behalf, but the series
mainly follows the life of their precious daughter and all of the drama that
one would expect her to face- being their daughter, that is.

Enjoy!¦.
James was awakened by a rough shove early that morning. He rolled over,
miserable, and slowly opened his eyes.
"What is it?" he mumbled.
Jessie gazed desperately at him through the darkness. "It's the baby,"
she said. "I think it's coming."
The blue-haired man jumped out of bed at this. "The BABY!?" he cried.
"Oh no!"
He frantically began pulling on his jeans. "Did your water all ready
break?" he asked. She nodded.
"Why didn't you wake me up then?" he asked.
"I tried to!" she protested. "But you wouldn't."
He buckled his belt and turned to face her. "Are you okay?" he asked.
"As much as a woman in labor can be."
He smiled and gently kissed her lips. "I love you," he whispered.
"I love you, too."
He lifted her into his arms now. "Are you ready to have our baby?"
"Do I have a choice?" He laughed in response and headed toward the door,
Jessie clinging tightly and nervously to his shoulders.
Four hours of labor brought them their first little girl. Her eyes were
as green as her daddy's' and her hair was as crimson as her mommy's. They
named her Rose.
It was now that Jessie realized just how worthwhile her pregnancy had
been as she cradled her baby in her arms. She had spent her first two hours
with the little girl weeping joyfully. James had thought this strange, and
was trying to comfort her now.
"Jess?" he asked softly. "Are you okay?"
She wiped her eyes dry and continued to gaze lovingly at Rose. "I just
can't believe that we made this beautiful little girl, James¦"
"Well¦why not?" He sat next to her and began to stroke her hair.
"I never figured that the two of us would come to this¦as bad as we were,
I mean¦."
He ran his fingers through her hair a moment longer. "None of that
matters now, Jess," he said. "Everything's changed now. We have our own
baby girl¦our new life¦.together¦."
She looked up at him now, her eyes serious. "Swear this to me," she
demanded.
He shrugged. "Name it."
Her face remained serious. "Swear to me that our daughter will never
walk in our footsteps. She can never even know about Team Rocket!"
"He gazed deeply into her sapphire-blue eyes. "Jessica¦I swear to you:
our daughter will never know a thing about our past. Or Team Rocket."
They both looked down at their baby again, tears swelling again in
Jessie's eyes. "Our little Rose¦" she sighed. "I wonder what you future
holds¦"
Part 2 is yet to come¦..Be ready for some good stuff!!
