Arc the Lad Review ***Please note that this is a review in progress and this review shows a series that has not been completely viewed*** Content
[disc 1] Arc the Lad is based off a video game of the same name. Usually game to anime don't turn out to well, but so far, I am really enjoying it. Elk, the main character (Arc isn't the main character, and is barely seen on these first few episodes) is a bounty hunter for an organization. The first episode starts out with him attacking an airship, where he meets Lieza, and a kimera. The kimera states he is from white house, and is trying to escape on the ship. The Kimera tries to attack Lieza, and this all ends up with some good action sequences. The next two episodes deal with Elk helping Lieza escape from the people who are trying to capture her. We aren't exactly sure why they want to capture her yet though. The last episode has no action, and is basically a character developement episode, but I liked the episode a lot none the less. [8.8] Animation
Animation is top notch. They must have had a big budget because its animated beautifully. It looks really good, and flows nicely. [9.3]Music
The opening it a lyricless one, but it fits well and sounds great. The ending is in english, and sounds pretty good. Background music fits well. [8.8]Extras
None. [10.0]Comments
We don't know too much about the story yet, but I wan't to see what happens. Also this is only a six disc set with a 3/3/5/5/5/5 release.
