Blue Sub No. 6 ***Please note that this is a review in progress and this review shows a series that has not been completely viewed*** Content
[Disc 1]Blue Sub 6 starts out with Hayami (the main character) in a collapsed building. A girl from Blue Sub 6 comes a few minutes later asking him to join their fight against Zorndike. He responds that he doesn't care, and that it is all over, the world is coming to an end. Mad about his decision she leaves to go back to Blue Sub 6.Without telling all the details, Hayami finally boards Blue Sub 6. He helps them battle their way through some dangerous waters (which looks sweet by the way) and keeps Blue Sub 6 and its crew alive. This episode also hints at things to come, with a short meeting of a character that will obviously appear again. [9.0] Animation
The animation is really nice. It mixes CG with 2-D animation. Some say they don't like how they mix it and that it looks akward. But the CG is beautiful, and I think it fits really well.
[10.0]Music
Most of the music is jazz. Even during the action scenes they play jazz music. It doesn't really fit those parts too well if you just listen to the music and think "does this fit?", but it sounds good when you are watching it. The ending song is good but different.
[9.0]Extras
Unfortionately there are no extras. [0.0]Comments
On the down side, you need to buy 4 discs (1 episode per disc), which really stinks, but I like it a lot and will gladly buy them all.
