Saint Tail is a magical girl anime, that is 43 episodes long, about a 14 year old girl named Meimi. At night, she transfroms into the mysterious thief Saint Tail! But she is a good theif, she steals things back from the people who stole them in the first place. Her best friend is Siera, a nun in training. Siera hears the prayers and confessions of people and tells Saint Tail. No one knows her true Saint Tail's identity, except Siera.
As with most magical girl shows, Meimi also has a cute and fluffy pet by the name of Ruby. Ruby is a hedgehog that Meimi finds all alone at a pet shop. It has no friends or family with it, and Meimi feels sorry for it. The store owner tells her she can have it if her parents are ok with it. She named it Ruby because that name had something to do with her parents wedding and thought she would have a better chance of getting it.
Saint Tail is pursued by the police everywhere she goes because she is still a theif. During one of the cases to capture her, a young boy - Asuka - (who also happens to be the cheif of police's son) takes a picture of Saint Tail, and becomes officially on the case to capture her. He is also Meimi's class mate as well. Meimi, Siera and Asuka all go to St. Paulia's Private School. Not even Asuka junior knows who she is, but he always wants to see her face to know her true identity.
