Kiyone moved quickly through the ranks of the Galaxy Police Academy, Kiyone had a very bright future ahead. She was top of her class and gained lots of recognition before graduation.
Too bad she was assigned with Mihoshi, who messed up her career single handed. Oh, don’t get me wrong, Mihoshi means well, but always seems to mess up by accident. Her future as a GP dectective was put on hold and she eventually became a resident officer on planet Earth.
Kiyone only wants success in her career. With Mihoshi, that’s a bit impossible. Not even one of Washu’s most powerful machines could separate Mihoshi and Kiyone. At the end of the TV series she received a promotion but so did 
Mihoshi.
Kiyone is level-headed and serious. She is an excellent detective. Her combat skills are extraordinary and she has the natural gut instincts of an excellent detective
