| details technically this wasn't a commision, as i offered to do this out of the good and kindness of my heart. bunny did pay for all the materials, but she was more or less a friend and since i had suggested the idea, i felt it would've been wrong to ask her to "compensate" me for my time and energy. besides, it made for good practice and i had fun making it anyway. |

| how? the jacket and skirt were made out of a simple green cotton that bunny picked out. a pattern for a cheerleader's uniform was used to make the skirt (sadly, i don't have the number for it anymore, as i gave it away to a friend for use on her own costume. it was made by mccall's.. ^^;) the skirt i had a few problems with, since it was my first time working with pleats. i had to keep doing the zipper over because the instructions were just downright confusing. eventually i got it, and it turned out looking just fine. the jacket was actually a pattern for a shirt, but it worked anyway. ^^ my dad was nice enough to do the buttonholes for me, as i had never done them before and i wanted this to look nice. i did sew all the buttons on by myself! ^^; i let bunny borrow my white shirt, the ribbon and kneesocks were bought, and she naturally had the hair and glasses. ^^ |

| thoughts even though it was nothing fancy, i liked the turn-out of this costume. it looked clean and polished, the way a uniform *should* look. and bunny seemed to have a fun time wearing it, so all was well (she got asked for a few pictures!) we haven't spoken much since ndk last year, so i don't know if she plans on wearing it again, or if she's worn it since. i worked pretty hard on it, so i just hope it doesn't wind up in the back of her closet. *lol* |
