Oji Tanaka is your everyday, middle-class, middle-aged, hardworking citizen. Works from 9 to 5, comes home kisses his wife, plays with his son, eats, then goes to sleep. That's how it is now, but 40 or 50 some odd years ago you used to be a born Rock Star. The lead of the Black Heaven, Oji was known as Gabriel Tanaka, the band brock up and lost touch.
One day, Oji meets Layla Uki, a beautiful woman who just started working in the same building as him. Oji and Ms. Uki go out drinking one night and he soon finds himself being lured into a model home by her. She opens the door, he steps in, and suddenly he is on board a space ship. She tell him that she is an alien trying to protect the Earth. The thing is, She needs Gabriel to play his guitar to power a big weapon to blast the enemy to hell. Gabriel agrees to help and is given his guitar from his past: His beloved Flying V.
Sounds like Macross 7 doesn't it, well that's what I said the first time. After I watched one episode I wanted more. Believe me it is a good series with comidy, romance, adventure, and Sci-fi.
