Angel's Fate

*MitKo part of this fic, was written in dedication for my good friend Nicky, who I constantly bother so here a MitKo part for you. *GRIN*
Today, a brand new day mark the beginning for two lives, Kaede Rukawa and Akira Sendoh. Rukawa's coming back to Shohoku cause quite a big scene for the Kanagawa district.
After his dazzling and radiant performance last year and being selected for all country in Japan, Rukawa's fan club grew (a lot) and so with him coming home, there were endless amount of flowers, candies, and love letters for Rukawa from both male and female, Rukawa of course ignored all of the items above and was actually quite irritated by it (go figure).
And finally after a day of ignoring people staring, giggling, and talking about him, school was finally over. Rukawa got on his bicycle and started peddling and soon he was asleep (I love how Rukawa was able to sleep at anytime and anywhere, how cute, wish I could do that but I will probably never live that long).
As he continue riding his bicycle and thinking of Sendoh at the same time. In his dream, he though about how he would defeat Sendoh at a basketball match and somehow none of it would matter and that they would become the best of friends and more despite their encounter. As it turns out, fate has a plan for Rukawa and Sendoh. Because like always, Rukawa feel asleep and had a little accident on his way to the basketball court, he accidentally hit Sendoh.
"Dame, did I hit someone again." Said Rukawa. (Sounding a little piss off, hey remembers Kaede you are the one who hit someone not the other way around)
"Ouch, hey who hit me?" Said Sendoh.
Rukawa look up in total surprise as his eyes meet Sendoh's he felt his whole body melting under Sendoh's heated glare.
"Uh, sorry, Akira I didn't meant to hit you, I must have fallen asleep again." Replied Rukawa (oh crap, did I just called him Akira, I only called him that when no one was around, hope he didn't notice)
"Oh, hi Rukawa, I am fine, are you going to the basketball court?" Asked Sendoh (uh, did Kaede just called me Akira, nah I must be having wishful thinking again)
"Yeah, I am going to the court, want to have one on one Sendoh?" Asked Rukawa.
"Sure, I miss having our one on one session, you know after you left for training there isn't any good opponent left." Said Sendoh.
As it turns out, Sendoh and Rukawa weren't the only one thinking of practicing basketball that day.
At the same court Mitsui was there with Kogure, it turn out that after last year's IH tournament, Mitsui and Kogure got together and become an item. The shy and adorable co-captain of the Shohoku High School had gather all his courage and asked his long time crush Mitsui if he would like to get together.
So on their first date, Mitsui and Kogure both very nervous about their date finally confused that they both like each other for a long time and from the look of things, everything end up perfectly for them.
"Hi, Rukawa and Sendoh, having a one on one again." Said Kogure.
"Hi, Kogure-san and Mitsui-san I have to say I am surprise to see you guys here." Replied Sendoh. (Dame I was looking forward to spending a little quality time with Kaede).
"Well, you see actually I made Hisashi-kun take me here today for old time sake, I mean now that we are in college and with our new responsibility I miss the old times, so we decide to play basketball for a little while," Replied Kogure (blushing)
"So Rukawa, you hook up with Sendoh again, huh?" joked Mitsui " You know I always wonder about you two, always being with each other and looking at each other strangely?"
"Hisashi-kun, leave the kids alone, can't you see that you are embarrassing them." Said Kogure.
"Ok, fine Min-kun I will leave the kids alone, like the way they want to be." Evilly replied Mitsui.
"By the way, look like you guys are more than friends when did you guys hook up?" asked Sendoh, who suddenly feel like having a little payback for the way Mitsui keep making fun of his Kaede GRRRRR.
"Hey, spiky hair stay out of my love business, can't you see we are happy now." Said Mitsui, and in turn take the blushing Kogure in his arm for a long heated kiss.
"Umm, Hisashi-kun, I think we should leave the kids alone, and (whispering in Mitsui's ear) I have a little surprise in store for you if take me home within the next five minutes." Said Kogure (Mischievously)
"You got it honey, bye kids, don't do anything that I would do." yelled Mitsui as he drag Kogure to their car.
"Whew, what was that, I never picture the shy Kogure with the devilish Mitsui, but at least they are happy, right Rukawa?" Said Sendoh.
"So, Sendoh does this mean that you don't object to their relationship?" Asked Rukawa.
"No, I guess I won't object to it, the most important thing for a couple is to be happy and that they love their other half, the fact that it is two guys in a relationship had nothing to do with it." Replied Sendoh.
"I guess you are right, you know Sendoh, you never ceased to amaze me, every time I though I have you figure out, you seem to do or said something that astonished me." Said Rukawa.
"Hey, you too, Rukawa, everyone told me that you are the silent type and here we have been having a nice conversation." Said Sendoh (as a smile appear on his face)
"Sendoh, you smile again." Said Rukawa.
"What?" Asked Sendoh (a little bit puzzle)
"I never though that I would see your care-free smile again." Said Rukawa." And you know something, Kogure-san took a chance at happiness and from the look of it, he was right, so I am going to take a chance Sendoh."
Rukawa took a deep breath and told Sendoh, "I like you, I always have and now I am leaving the decision up to you, you have to decide if you want there to be an us or if you rather this never happen."
After Rukawa's statement, which shocked the hell out of Sendoh. Rukawa pick up his basketball and left on his bicycle.
"Wow, was I dreaming or did my Rukawa just told me that he like me." Said Sendoh.
Sendoh took his hand and pinch his cheek, "Ouch, it hurt so it must be true, I can't wait to see Rukawa's reaction when I told him what I want, and I guess today is my lucky day."
Today, I just did the most courage thing in my life; I told Akira that I like him and then ironically like a coward I left before he had a chance to tell me what his answer was. I can't believe that I just set myself up for rejection, but Akira was worth it. Today after seeing Kogure-san and Mitsui-san together I realize that waiting around never help anything. So I took a chance, and now everything is depending on my angel's decision. And one more thing, my angel got his smile back and regardless of his decision because for that I am thankful.
Kaede Rukawa
Today, the most wonderful thing happen to me my Kaede told me that he love me, ok I am embellishing a little bit, but he told me that he likes me and that he want us to be an item, but he left before I could told him anything. But anyway wait till he finds out what I have in store for him. Today is the greatest day of my life, and I am going to go to sleep now so I could dream about my Kaede. Sweet, cute, innocent Kaede, I wonder what Kaede is doing now, probably sleeping.
Akira Sendoh
Yep, I am done babbling for today, aren't you happy? Just one more part and all this endless babbling will end. All feedback will be greatly appreciated.
