Goten is the youngest son of Goku. He was born just after the Cell games, and therefore never met Goku.We first meet the young boy when he is 7 years old. He was training with Gohan one day when he reveals to his brother that he is able to transform into a Super Saiyan. This shocks Gohan, but he also says that if he keeps up the training, he may be able to enter the tournament too. Eventually, Goten does enter the tournament with his best friend Trunks and meets his father there for the first time. He then makes it to the finals of the tournament, but loses against Trunks. He then steals someones costume called Mighty Mask, along with Trunks and enter the adult tournament. While fighting Eighteen, however, their secret is revealed and they are disqaulified.Trunks seems to always get Goten in trouble. As they flee they spot Videl, who tells them everything that is going on. Very excited, the two boys go SSJ and fly off the catch up with their dads, friends, and brothers. Through some events, they fuse to form Gotenks.
