Seru flew as fast as he could. He tried to remember how far he and his father had flown that day when they met that teenager. Then a house came into view. Seru flew down, hoping that’s where he would find the person he was looking for. He landed and didn’t see anybody around. He ran to the front door and knocked on it. A lady opened the door and looked down at the boy.
“Can I help you?” She asked.
“I’m looking for a…Go…Gohen?” Seru said. He couldn’t remember the name.
“Gohan?” The lady said.
“Yes! I need to speak to him, please,” begged Seru.
Gohan, hearing his name, came to the door. “You,” he said.
“I’ll take care of this, mom,” said Gohan. Chi Chi walked away. “What do you want?”
“Please, my mom is in trouble, and my dad can’t help because he’s got a bad virus.” Seru couldn’t have spoken any faster.
“Hey, slow down. Why do you want my help?”
“Because you’re strong like Dad. Please, I need your help.” Seru looked at Gohan with pleading eyes.
Gohan thought for a moment. Help Cell? Yeah, right! But the kid’s mom is in trouble. Maybe, I should, he thought. “Alright, I’ll help you.”
Gohan followed Seru back to the house. When they got there, they found the place deserted. Seru ran down the hall to his mother’s bedroom. The bed was empty. “They took them!” He cried.
Gohan walked up behind him. “Don’t worry, we’ll find them.” Gohan walked back outside. He concentrated hard, trying to pick up Cell’s power level.
“What are you doing?” Seru asked.
“Trying to find your father’s power level; but I can’t seem to find it. Wait! I think I found it.” Gohan concentrated harder. “Yes, that’s it. It’s very faint, but now we can find them for you.”
In a warehouse, about 50 miles from Gohan and Seru, Lara sat tied up in a chair. Cell laid on a table with his hands and feet tied to it. He was still unconscious. The two men stood next to Cell along with their boss.
“Very good, Vince and Lou. The lab will pay some high prices to do research on this thing,” the boss said.
“Thanks, sir.” Vince and Lou both said. They all walked away, leaving Lara and Cell. Lara was hurt, for she fought the whole way here. The man named Vince kept hitting her until she gave up. He had told her why he was after her at the comic book stand.
“My boss found out about the monster. He was interested and decided to capture this monster. He sent me out to find it. I didn’t know where this place was. I learned some blue hair girl hung around this monster. I followed a bunch of blue haired girls home, but the monster wasn’t at any other their places. Then I saw you and needed to follow you home. I thought I’d had some fun with you, ‘cause you’re so pretty. But I found the monster, and now here we are…”
Lara sat in the chair. He bruises on her arms where hurting because her arms were tied back tight to the chair. She wished this would get better.
After a few minutes, the man named Lou came out. He walked over to Lara and laughed. “You’re a foolish girl,” he said. Then he walked over to Cell. “I guess we should thank you for leading us to this guy. You just made us filthy rich,” he said to Lara. He laughed. Then he thought he saw Cell’s head move. He looked, but Cell still lay there, unconscious.
Lara had begun to work her way out of her restraints. She was almost done. Lou had walked over to the window. Lara eventually freed her hands and she untied her feet. She tiptoed over to Lou with a pipe she found laying near her. She raised the pipe above her head and got ready to hit her captor. However, Lou heard her. He turned around and Lara tried to swing the pipe. She missed by a mile and Lou hit her to the ground. Lara had landed a few feet from the table Cell was on.
Lou walked over to her and laughed hard. He kicked her leg and she winced in pain. As Lou laughed, he felt like somebody was watching him. He looked around, but no one was there. Then he saw who it was. Cell’s pink eyes gave him an icy cold stare. Lou jumped away. Cell easily broke his restraints and sat up. He looked down to Lara.
“Cell…” she said weakly.
Cell got off the table and knelt down beside her. “Lara,” he said. “What did they do to you?” He picked her up in his arms and stood up.
Lou was shaking. He pulled out a gun from his belt and started firing at Cell. A shield seemed to be protecting them. Cell turned towards him with an angry look on his face. “I promised I wouldn’t kill anybody, but you pushed me over the edge.” He held out his hand and a beam started to appear. Lou turned to run but fell. Cell shot the beam.
When the smoke cleared, Lou opened his eyes. Cell purposely missed. Vince and his boss heard the blast and came running out. They froze when they saw Cell standing there. “I thought you gave him the needle,” the boss said.
“I did!” Vince said. “He should’ve been unconscious for hours.”
“Well don’t just stand there; get him! Don’t let him get away!” The boss yelled. Vince ran towards Cell. Cell’s energy flung him through the roof. He placed Lara gently on the table and turned to the boss, who was slowly walking backwards.
“I don’t know what you planned to do with me, but you won’t have to worry about your millions,” Cell said harshly. He continued to make his way to the frightened man.
“Cell!” Lara screamed. Lou was heading towards Lara with the pipe.
“This will teach you to ruin our plans!” Lou yelled to Cell.
Cell’s anger went sky high. He raised his power level, causing the ground to shake. It knocked both Lou and his boss to the ground.
Meanwhile, Gohan and Seru were trying to locate Cell and Lara. It was hard, because Gohan could barely sense Cell’s power. However, Gohan felt Cell’s energy quickly rise. “Oh no!” He yelled. “Cell’s power is rising; that can’t be good!” Gohan flew ahead.
“Hey!” Seru yelled and flew after Gohan.
Gohan and Seru stopped when they saw a warehouse blow up. They shielded their eyes and waited for the smoke to clear. When the smoke cleared they saw Cell in the air holding Lara in his arms. Seru quickly flew over to his parents, followed by Gohan.
“Daddy!” Seru yelled.
Cell turned around and smiled at his son, but the smile quickly disappeared when he saw Gohan.
“I warned you Cell!” Gohan said.
“Don’t get excited. I didn’t kill anyone. Those idiots are still alive,” Cell said.
Gohan looked down to see three men crawling away from the rubble. “I don’t understand…”
“They weren’t worth my effort,” Cell said. Lara moved in his arms.
“Cell…you’re better…” she said.
“I’m fine, but what about you?”
“I’m okay. Except my wrist…I think I broke it,” Lara said.
“I’ll get you the help you need,” Cell said. “By the way Gohan, what are you doing here anyway?”
“You’re son came to me. He said his mom was in trouble. I came to help, but obviously my help wasn’t needed.”
Cell looked at him then at Lara’s arm. “Where can I get her help?”
“Bring her to the emergency room,” Gohan said.
“Easier said than done. If those people saw me they’d concentrate more on me than Lara’s wrist,” Cell said.
“I see what you mean. I can take her I guess,” Gohan suggested.
Later that day, Gohan returned with Lara. Cell was waiting outside. She ran over to him as soon as her feet touched the ground. Cell picked her up and held her close to him. “Are you okay?” He asked.
“They put a cast on my wrist. I have to keep it on for six weeks.”
Cell placed her on the ground and faced Gohan. Gohan smiled and left. When he left Cell kissed Lara. “I was so mad when I saw that you were hurt,” he said.
“I was so scared when they came. They wanted you and I tried to keep them away. I’m just not strong like you are, though.”
“I’m sorry I wasn’t there to protect you.”
“It’s okay. I’m just glad that you got over that virus.” Then Lara noticed that someone was missing. “Where’s Seru?”
“He’s inside.” The two didn’t say another word. They just kissed each other for a long time.
