Eight months had passed since Cell’s had the heart virus, and Lara had broken her wrist. Things were getting back to normal. Seru had started school, Lara was promoted to assistant manager at Capsule Corp., and Cell would train himself and Seru when he didn’t have school. However, there was one extra mouth to feed in the household. Seru had a younger brother that looked exactly like Cell; only he was blue instead of green.
It was a Saturday morning, and Cell had taken his two sons to the desert like he would every weekend. He would fight with them, and also just watch his two sons fight each other.
“Come on Mikau! I dare you to hit me!” Seru yelled.
“Dare taken!” Mikau yelled back. Mikau was a great fighter, since he knew all of Cell’s fighting techniques. Mikau wasn’t exactly Lara’s son. He was born from Cell, who was able to produce his own offspring. Though he had inherited his father’s techniques, he still had a lot to learn.
Cell watched them and then decided to step in. He fought the two like it was nothing at all. Mikau was able to keep up a little more than Seru, but he still wasn’t as fast as his father. After a few minutes Seru and Mikau teamed up against Cell. And they were good at this too. Just as Cell’s punch hit Mikau, Seru came up behind him and hit him in the back. Cell quickly turned around a clobbered Seru sending him to the ground next to Mikau.
“Well, I think you guys have had enough for today,” Cell said.
“Awe, come on,” Mikau whined.
“Just a little longer Dad,” Seru begged.
Cell smiled. “No; I think it’s time to go home. Let’s get going.” Seru and Mikau got up and flew ahead of Cell. They got home to see Lara sitting in lounge chair under a tree. She smiled and struggled to get up when they landed.
“Mom, you shouldn’t get up,” Seru said.
“I’m fine, hunny,” Lara said to him. She carefully walked over to Cell and the boys.
“How are you feeling?” Cell asked looking down at her stomach.
“Tired, but okay,” She said. “Boys, go inside and get washed up.” Mikau pushed Seru out of the way and raced to the house.
“Hey no fair!” Yelled Seru.
Lara laughed. “How’s their fighting coming along?”
“They’re both very good,” Cell replied. “Their new thing is ganging up on me.”
Lara laughed and put her head on Cell’s chest. He in turn put his arms around her.
It was less than a week later when Cell stood on the roof of the hospital. Seru, and Mikau waited in the waiting room. Cell stood there, looking out at the large city. Many thoughts entered his mind. Then he started thinking about how Mikau had come into the world. Lara had felt really bad that none of Cell’s children would ever look more like him. Seru looked more human than like Cell, and she knew the new baby would be the same. Cell had told her that if he wanted a child that looked like him, he could do so. He didn’t think Lara would want a third. But she insisted. She had said she wouldn’t mind in the least.
That night Cell had created Mikau. Lara had named him, and loved him from the first moment she saw him. Though when Mikau was born, he could’ve passed for a five year old. Now Cell was awaiting the arrival of his third child. I never thought my life would come to this, he thought.
Suddenly Mikau appeared in front of him. “Daddy! Mom had the baby!” He raced back down to the open waiting room window; Cell following him. They met up with Seru and followed the nurse to Lara’s room. The nurse was a little nervous with Cell’s presence, but she figured if he was going to do something, he would’ve done it by now.
They entered a smaller sized room with curtains hanging from the ceiling. Lara lay in a bed with bars on the side, holding a small baby. She looked up at Cell when he came through the door. Cell walked over to her and smiled. Then he looked down at the baby. It appeared to be sleeping. Seru and Mikau ran to the other side of the bed and leaned over to see.
“It’s so small,” Mikau commented.
Lara laughed. “Of course she is,” she said.
“She?” asked Cell in surprise.
Lara nodded. “Yes, she. Meet your new daughter, Cell.” Cell looked at the baby in Lara’s arms. He couldn’t believe now he had a daughter. “Do you want to hold her?”
Cell’s eyes widened. “I think I’d hurt her…”
“No you won’t. Just hold her in your arms and she’ll be fine.” Cell lowered himself so Lara could place the baby in his arms. “Now, just support her head.” The baby lay on Cell’s right arm and his left hand supported her head. The baby opened her eyes and looked at Cell. She started to giggle. “What’s so funny?” Cell asked her. He smiled.
“I want to hold her,” said Seru,
“Me too!” Mikau said.
Cell placed the baby in Seru’s arms. Seru didn’t move, afraid he would hurt his new sister. “She’s cool,” he said.
“My turn!” Mikau held out his arms.
Lara laughed. “There’s no hurry. She’s not going anywhere.”
“Yeah but everyone else got to hold her except me,” whined Mikau.
“Here then.” Seru gently handed his sister to his brother.
Mikau’s eyes got big. “She’s got pink eyes like us. But her hair is more like yours mom; well, what there is of it.”
“What are you going to call her?” Cell asked. He knelt down next to Lara’s bedside.
“I don’t know. I was thinking about Tyra. Do you like it?”
“It’s pretty.” Cell looked at her. “When do you get out of here?”
“In a few days. I’m going to need your help, though.”
“My help? Why?”
“I was really tired when Seru was born. I won’t be able to do that much.” Lara smiled. “You’ll get to play Mr. Mom.”
Cell laughed. “You’re kidding, right?”
“Not at all.” Lara gave an evil sort of grin. Just then a nurse came in the room to take the baby so Lara could rest.
“I’ll go as well,” Cell said. “You rest up and I’ll be back to bring you home.” He kissed Lara then started heading for the door. “Seru, Mikau, let’s go.”
“Bye Mom!” They both said in unison.
“Bye boys,” Lara said and waved good-bye as they walked out.
