The Z fighters tried to blast Cell as he was fighting Gohan with a powerful Kamehameha wave. They were powerless against him; he flicked them away with his energy. Gohan was putting everything he had left into his own Kamehameha wave. His father was giving him all the advice he could. Vegeta looked on in horror. He flew up to try his hand at distracting Cell in order for Gohan to overtake the evil android.
He powered up a small blast with his remaining energy. “Take this, Cell,” he said to himself as he fired it down towards Cell. It didn’t scathe Cell at all. He looked over his shoulder and released his energy, sending Vegeta flying to the ground.
Gohan struggled. Cell was putting more energy into his attack. “I…can’t hold him off…” Gohan tried to power up more, but he couldn’t. “I’m sorry…”
“This is it, kid!” Cell yelled. “Join your father!” Cell put even more energy into his Kamehameha wave. Gohan lost control, and lost the fight. Cell blasted Gohan away, along with anything that stood behind him for miles.
Gohan was gone. The Z fighters couldn’t believe their eyes; they could no longer feel Gohan’s life energy. “Gohan!” Piccolo yelled at the top of his lungs.
Cell was still standing in his fighting position. He looked at the large trench in the ground before him. He began to laugh a wicked laugh. He slowly stood up and turned to the exhausted Z fighters. “Well, it looks like the Earth belongs to me now.”
“No…” Vegeta said, trying to sit up.
“Gohan…” Krillin said to himself.
“It’s all over you guys…” Yamcha said quietly.
Cell started walking over to the fallen warriors. “I hope your enjoying the little time you have left,” he said laughing. He stopped in front of Piccolo.
“Cell, you monster!” Piccolo threw a blast at Cell’s face. Cell turned his head to the side, the blast flying by him.
Cell held out his hand and laughed. “It looks like you’ve struck out.” He formed a blast in his hand and sent it into Piccolo’s stomach. Piccolo didn’t have a chance. Cell laughed to himself as he turned towards Tien. “It looks like you’re next in line.”
Tien knew he didn’t have a chance. He had given himself up as Cell did the same to him as he had done to Piccolo. One by one Cell erased the Z fighters from existence. He smiled to himself and looked around. “Well, now that they’re out of the way, I’m free to do what I want.” He searched the area for the six humans that had attended the Cell Games. He flew up and found them hiding behind a rock. When they saw him standing above them, they tried to scurry away. It didn’t take Cell long to dispose of them all, which he did in one swish of his finger. “That takes care of that annoying human.” He smiled. “Imagine, a human who thought that he could defeat me.”
As he started flying away, he found the bodies of Trunks and Android 18. “Just in case,” he said as he blasted the plateau. He flew to the nearest city so he may celebrate his victory. “I am the first and only one who was able to truly defeat Goku!”
Cell came upon a large city known as Orangeville City. He flew between the buildings; his energy alone was enough to demolish them. Any human he saw running away, standing in fear, or laying already dead on the ground, he blasted away. For the next couple of days Cell traveled from city to city, destroying any trace that remained.

* * *

Three days had passed since Earth fell into the hands of the powerful android. He was traveling over the countryside, which was scattered with farms. He had already grown tired of destroying the people of Earth. None of them put up a good fight, if any at all. “They’re all weak. I am the only “perfect” being on this pathetic planet.”
News had traveled quickly from country to country, continent to continent. Soon the whole planet knew of Cell’s rampage of destruction. People had sought shelter by hiding in underground hideouts, hoping the monster wouldn’t find them. However, some people refused to leave. They were determined to die with their honor, knowing that they did their best to survive, and also realizing that they didn’t stand a chance against Cell.
Cell flew on, blasting away houses, barns, animals, and humans. He started to reshape the different areas. If the ground was flat, he’d make them hilly, if the ground was mountainous, he’d flatten it. Soon, there was no sign of life for miles and miles. Cell, had destroyed it all.
On the fifth day of his rampage of destruction, Cell came upon a small town; 160 miles away from where the Cell games were held. He landed on the smoothly paved road and looked around. Nothing. It was deserted. He walked around looking for the slightest bit of movement. Then he came across a girl in an ally. She lay on her side, trying to look dead. However, Cell knew she was alive. He smiled and walked up next to her. He pushed her legs with his foot. She didn’t move. Using his mind, he lifted her into the air, holding her up straight. Her head tilted to her left; and she still didn’t make a sound or the slightest bit of movement.
Cell looked at her with interest. She thinks she’s fooling me, he thought to himself. Let’s see if I can shake her up a bit. He pointed his finger in front of her face, waiting to see if she’d open her eyes. She remained still. He ran his thumb over her cheek. He saw her hand twitch for a moment, but she regained control of herself. She’s better at this than I thought. He tried to think of something that would get her complete attention. He got an idea, but he hesitated on performing it. Finally he decided he’d try it. He picked up her slightly trembling hand and kissed it gently. The girl lost control. Her body started to tremble.
“You might as well give up,” he said to her. “I know you’re not dead, and I’ll continue to get your attention until you give it to me.”
She slowly opened her eyes, but she wouldn’t look at him. “You have it,” she said after a few more moments of silence.
“About time,” Cell commented. “Did you honestly think you’d fool me?”
“If there was a chance of saving my own skin, then it was worth a try.”
Cell laughed. “I know how to get to you humans. You’re all weak fools.”
She raised her hand and slapped him across the face as hard as she could. Cell turned his head away as her hand came in contact. He didn’t move for a moment, and then slowly looked at her. “That’s for the people you’ve killed,” she said.
Cell felt something cold run down his cheek. He put his hand to his face, and then looked at it, seeing blood. Her nails had dug into his skin, cutting him. He smiled and wiped the blood away as more trickled down his face. “That must have taken a lot of courage,” he said at last.
“No, nothing held me back,” she said sharply. Cell laughed again. He lowered her to the ground. As he left her to stand on her own, she collapsed to the ground. She looked at the pavement as he looked at her with curiosity.
“What’s wrong? Can’t even stand up,” he laughed.
“For your information, I badly sprained my ankle and I can’t stand on it.”
“So why aren’t you in safety with your friends?” He said with an evil grin.
“I was running to safety with them when I landed the wrong way on my foot. They left me because they knew you were coming.”
Cell laughed quietly to himself. “It really doesn’t matter. They’ll be history eventually anyway.”
The girl looked at him with a look of anger in her eyes. “How dare you come here and kill us like this. You want to destroy this planet. You obviously don’t see it for its beauty. You’re a selfish jerk! Someday you’ll pay for what you’ve done.”
Her statements had caught his attention at once. He picked her up by the collar of her shirt. “How dare you threaten me. I ought to kill you right now.”
“So what are you waiting for!?” She screamed.
Cell hesitated. He didn’t know what he was waiting for. He tossed her to the ground. She lay on the ground, holding her face to the hard pavement beneath her. She started to sob to herself. “Just kill me!” She cried out. Cell held up his hand, preparing to grant her wish. He formed a beam in his hand, but didn’t release it. Instead, he absorbed it back into his hand and let his arm drop to his side. The girl looked up slowly, not understanding what he was doing.
Cell picked her up in his arms and brought her out of the ally, and across the street. He placed her on a bus stop bench and laid her feet on it gently. He looked at her for another moment, and started to walk away. The girl didn’t know what he was doing. Perhaps he was going to use her as target practice.
“Where are you going?” She demanded. “Now look who’s running away,” she said when he didn’t respond to her first sentence.
Cell stopped. He didn’t turn around right away. He waited to see what other verbal passes she’d make at him. There was nothing but silence. “Consider yourself lucky,” he said at last.
“What do you mean?”
He looked at her over his shoulder. “I’m letting you live.”
“Why? Tell me! I don’t understand. Why would you let me live?”
Cell walked over to her again and looked down at her angry, yet frightened face. He brushed away her hair that had fallen into her face, and brushed her cheek with the back of his fingers. “You’re the first human that has stood their ground against me. I find that admirable since you’re no match for me.”
“You always have to finish you remarks with yourself, don’t you?” Cell smiled at her and turned to leave once again. The girl grabbed his hand. Cell turned and looked at her. Her eyes weren’t as angry anymore. “You’re just leaving me unharmed?”
“Did you expect something else?” Cell responded. She released his hand and looked away. Cell knelt down on one knee and kissed her cheek. He backed away and waited for a response. He got one, too. She gave him a kiss on his lips. Cell pulled away, surprised. “What was that for?”
Her face turned red and she looked at her feet. “For you to remember what you’re destroying…” As she said that, a group of humans had come onto the scene. They saw the girl kissing Cell, only they thought he was seducing her.
“He’s after her!” Yelled one.
“Open fire!” Yelled another. They started shooting machine guns at Cell. The girl, forgetting that Cell could not be hurt by the bullets, jumped in front of him. She fell to the ground, and the men stopped their shooting. They stood there in shock.
Cell looked down at the badly wounded girl lying at his feet. He fiercely looked at the on looking humans. “You fools!” He yelled and blasted them and everything behind them. He knelt down a lifted the girl in his arms. “What nonsense was that?”
She barely opened her eyes. “I had wanted to show you a human’s mercy. Besides, I had nothing left here; you killed my family.” The girl died and Cell starred at her lifeless body.
Cell lifted her and brought her to a tree near that area. He rested her body under it and flew away. “She was brave enough to protect me. Why is that?” He said to himself as he flew on.
The next city Cell came to started evacuating the minute they heard he was coming. He landed in the middle of a road and watched as people ran for their lives. He walked down the street a bit, and then noticed a young girl and her little brother hiding behind a couple trashcans. The two children got up to run, but the boy tripped and fell. His sister stopped and came back trying to pull him along. Cell watched. He didn’t move and let the two humans run from him. He had a change of thought and left the city.
Cell flew to a mountain and looked at the view. He remembered what the girl had said to him. “You want to destroy this planet. You obviously don’t see it for its beauty…” “Beauty…whatever. I don’t see anything special about this planet…” Cell smirked. “But now that I think of it, I’m the strongest being on Earth. I can easily rule over it.”
Not even a week later, Cell did have control of the planet. Every human knew who he was, and they had to do whatever he wished. For the time being, he no longer destroyed the cities of Earth. Instead, he ruled over the planet the way he wanted. “Now if you ask me,” he thought out loud, “this is better than destroying the Earth. I have complete control over it! To bad I killed all of the Z fighters, though. Then I’d have somebody to fight, even if they wouldn’t have been all that much of a challenge.” Though he was ruler of the world, Cell did have one problem. He was lonely. He wouldn’t admit it to anyone, but he wished that girl were still alive…just for his amusement. Cell stood on the middle of a large plateau, thinking like he usually did. “If only I had shielded her from the gun shots…maybe I’d be happier.” He dismissed the thought, for it just depressed him. He flew off into the sky of planet Earth.
