* * * When they got home, the baby hinted to the trio that it was feeding time again. Fish warmed the milk in a bottle while Tiger took the kid in his arms. He fed the baby without a problem, and was able to burp him without getting the kid’s meal on him. “This book says that the kid should take a nap during the day,” said Fish. “That’s fine with me,” said Hawk. “I’m exhausted. Looking for Pegasus was easier than this.” “So where is the kid supposed to sleep,” asked Tiger as he bounced the baby on his leg. “In a crib, but we don’t have one. I guess we can just put him on a bed or a couch and just make sure he doesn’t fall off,” Fish replied. They were able to get the child to sleep on the couch while they watched TV with the volume down low. The weekend went by rather quickly once the trio got the hang of taking care of a baby. They took turns feeding it and changing his diapers. However, Tigers Eye almost passed out when it came time for him to change a diaper. It was ten o’clock Sunday night when Rae’s grandfather returned from his trip. He came into the living room finding Tigers Eye sleeping on a chair holding a stuffed rabbit, Fish Eye lying on the couch, and Hawks Eye leaning against the couch with the baby sleeping in his arms. Grandpa smiled and let them be. The next morning, Tiger woke up to see a face starring at him. He jumped up and yelled, which woke everyone else. Grandpa laughed and walked over to the baby and picked him up. “Are you three going with Darien or not,” the old man asked. “Darien?” Then they noticed Darien standing over by the door. “Hey you three. Looks like you’ve been having fun,” he said. “Loads of it,” said Hawk getting up. “What are you doing here?” “I thought you would know of all people, Hawk. The girls are coming home today. I came to see if you wanted a ride to the airport.” “Has two weeks gone bye already? I forgot all about it to tell you the truth,” Hawk said. They got ready and drove to the airport, and waited for the plane from Paris to come. “So where did the baby come from,” asked Darien. “He was left on the temple steps. Rae’s grandfather kind of forced us to take care of it,” said Tiger as he played with the baby. “Flight 134 is now arriving from Paris, France,” said a voice over the intercom. The five went over to the area where the sailor scouts would be coming. “Hawks Eye!” A voice yelled. Hawk turned around to see Lita jogging over to him. He walked over to her and she jumped into his arms. They gave each other a quick kiss, and then went over to the others. “How was your trip,” asked Hawk. “It was so cool! But I thought about you everyday,” Lita said. “What have you been up to all this time?” Hawks Eye looked over at the baby in Tiger’s arms. “We’ve been busy with him the whole time.” “Whose baby is that?” “No clue.” Hawk briefly explained the story, leaving out all the details about how he and the others had trouble the first couple of days. “Sounded like fun,” said Rae. “Wish you could have been there,” said Fish. Darien took Serena, Ami, and Mina home, and the rest of the group went to the temple. When they arrived, Grandpa came walking over to them, followed by a young woman. When she saw the baby in Tiger’s arms she ran over saying, “Spencer!” “Spencer,” Hawk said surprised. “This lady claims to be the baby’s mother,” said Gramps. “How do we know she is,” Tiger said in a sarcastic tone. “Please, you must believe me,” the woman said. “Why would you leave your baby on our doorstep,” questioned Hawk. “I’m so sorry I did. I was so stressed out with taking care of him that I thought it would be best if I gave him up. As time went by, I felt more and more guilty. Deep down I knew I needed my baby. I realized it wasn’t right to leave him alone.” She broke down crying. The trio looked at each other. They silently agreed to give the baby back to its mother. Tiger handed Spencer to his mom, and the baby started to laugh. “Oh, please forgive me Spencer. I’m so sorry; I love you so much,” the lady said holding her child close. She thanked the trio again and started to leave when Hawk stopped her. “Wait right there!” He ran off inside then returned with the stuffed bunny. “He likes this a lot.” Spencer’s mom laughed, thanked them again, and left. “I’m going to miss the kid,” said Tigers Eye. “Me too,” Fish and Hawk agreed. As they walked inside Lita put her arm around Hawks Eye. “So how was it to play Mr. Mom?” “It wasn’t easy,” he replied putting his arm around her.
