Rei lied on her bed, unable to force a wink of sleep. Her mind kept focusing on the events that happened that morning..she had killed Jedite. A look of terror spread on his face; as his body becomming engulfed with flames; which soon became nothing more than a pile of ashes.

"Why do I care for him?", Rei asked herself angrily, "He's the enemy! I should be happy to have defeated him!". Upon touching her cheek, Rei felt wetness. "Why..?" She kept asking herself, until eventually, she fell asleep.

A gentle warmth soon engraved Rei's body. Opening her eyes was pointless; upon doing so, she saw nothing but blackness. "Where am I?" She asked herself out loud. "I'm glad you could join me.", A gentle voice said in her ear, "I've been waiting for so long."

"Jedite?" Rei asked, not being able to believe her ears. "Yes." Jedite replied, stroking her hair gently. "But you're-" Rei began, but soon got cut off. "I'm only alive right here, right now..in your dreams. When you wake up, I'll be nothing more than a mere memory."

Jedite released Rei from his arms, so that he could embrace her. "May I show you something?" He asked her. "..Yes." Rei hesitated.

Suddenly, Rei was back at her grandfather's temple, with a broom in her hand. Chad sat on the stairs, watching Rei attentively. "Excuse me?" Said a soft voice. Rei turned, "Oh, hi!", she said, straightening out her skirt, "May I help you?".

The person was, of course, Jedite. "I was wondering..are there any possibilities that I may work here?" He asked. "Sure! Let me go get my grandfather; you can speak with him. I know we're always looking for help around here."

The blackness returned, and all Rei could see was Jedite. "Why did you show me that?" She asked, looking up at him gently. "Because, princess..that was when I fell in love with you."

Rei felt a tear fall down her cheek, and she quickly brushed it away. "Jedite..I love you, too." She whispered, gently clinging to his shoulder. Jedite leant over, and passionately kissed Rei.

"I have to leave now, my sweet..remember me always." Jedite said, and handed Rei a small, heart-shaped locket. "What is this?" She asked him, mystified. "My memory." He said. Soon, the warmth had returned to Rei.

Rei awoke with a start, to find herself in her own bed. "Just a dream..", she sighed, "It was all just a-" but couldn't continue her sentance. For right beside her, was a small, heart-shaped locket.
