He stood alone in the shadows. Nobody but himself. He was a loner. All of them were. They all cared for no one but themselves... And yet he was slightly different. Nobody knows why, but he was. He couldn't realize it, and neither could all the others. He just was. Deep down, in his Black, Hollow heart, there was a slight bit of compassion. But he was Saiyan. A ruthless warrior that looked at feelings as a weakness. It was said that no Saiyans contained the word compassion in there vocabulary. It was true. None of them knew what it was. That doesn't mean that none of them couldn't learn the true meaning...
He was trained from birth to be a warrior. When Saiyans were born they were searched for strenths and weaknesses. Weaknesses, he had none, but what they found was this baby contained strenths that no other had possessed. Keeping him on Vegitasei was the best way to track his energy levels and determine if he was strong enough to become an elite. Some feared that he was even stronger that prince Vegeta himself, but that was unlikely.
By the Age of 15, Kakkorot, had become stronger than any Saiyan was at his age. He would surpass the Prince soon if he wasn't put to a stop to. But, despite his strong power and the probability to excell him, Vegeta had taken a shine to Kakkorot the first time he had discovered how strong he was.
Vegeta's exact quote was, "I need a challange, and this young man will bring it to me..."
"But Prince Vegeta... He is just a third class warrior. He could never be a challange for you!" Said his advisor, Nappa.
"Are you questioning my authority on this matter?! How dare you! Now leave me at once and bring in that Saiyan boy... I need to discover the true depths of his power," The Prince said with a scowl.
Nappa was his advisor and his long time friend. Friend? No, Vegeta didn't have any friends and neither did the entire Saiyan Empire. Nappa and Vegeta were training partners and the thought of him losing his title to a third class warrior made his blood boil.
"Yes my Prince. I will fetch him at once." your could tell that Nappa was not happy with the Prince's decision. A third class warrior did not deserve or even have the rights to start training with the Prince. But Nappa had to go get this powerful young boy. If he did not, the penilty for defying the Prince was death, and Nappa was not looking foward to it.
"The Prince wishes to Speak to you. Be very quick about this, and do not waste all the Prince's time," Nappa Said in a Gruff Voice.
"Yes Sir!" Kakkorot responded. Despite his Saiyan heritage, Kakkorot was very polite about things. Always addressing elders by Sir.
Kakkorot knocked on the Royal Chamber and then entered. The young Prince watched to see the proud and noble Saiyan walk into his Chamber and Bow before him. Price Vegeta loved it when his people bowed before him. It gave him a sense of... Power.
"Kakkorot, I hear you are a worthy opponent of me. Ne? Is this true?" the Prince wanted to get right down to business, not wasting any valueable time that could be used for training.
"No one would be a worthy opponent of you, sire," Kakkorot said, in true honesty to his Prince. Kakkorot worshiped the Prince and his power, hoping that one day he could be at least half as powerful as he was. The Prince was impressed by his answer, because it was indeed a trick question.
"Kakkorot, you need not be so formal right now. I see that you are probably a bit more of a challange than what I have been seeing lately from these other weaklings. From now on you will be my training partner. I need to see what powers you possess. Tommorow at four hundred hours meet me here, in My Royal Chamber," The Prince said as he watched Kakkorot stand up and then bow once again before him.
"Yes my Prince, I am ever most Grateful..." Kakkorot said as he walked out the door.
"Oh, and Kakkorot, be prepared. This is not going to be a walk in the park," Vegeta warned him. Kakkorot hadn't trained with royalty before. The Prince thought that he need a warning before their training would get too intense for him to handle.
"Yes my Lord," Kakkorot left the Royal Chamber. He was overwhelmed with joy and happiness even though he didn't know what these feelings truly were. He had been training for this ever since birth, the right to fight along side the Prince. Now they were training partners.
Kakkorot entered his Chamber in the East Wing or the Saiyans Space Ship. He was excited to tell his father the great news that happened today but he was not home. Kakkorot was not surprized, his father was never home. He was always out, training Raditz. Bardock, his father, never had enough time for him. He was never home and when he was, he was always too tired to be bothered with.
Not seeing his father home once again made his heart feel empty. He didn't know what this feeling was either. Lately he had been feeling a lot. He didn't tell anyone this, fearing he'd get beaten for having a weakness. He didn't want to have these "feelings" but they were always there. He wanted to know what they all meant but he knew that he'd never find out.
Kakkorot decided it wasn't worth worrying over, so he straight went to sleep. He'd tell his father first thing in the morning. Maybe his father would acually be... Proud. He secretly hoped so.
