It was 3:15 AM when ChiChi woke up. She was exausted. She was used to waking up at 9:30, like most teenage girls. It was summer so both ChiChi and Bulma did not have school. ChiChi's father always wanted her to study hard over the summer but ChiChi never got around to it. She was always too busy *trying* to have fun. She never could though.
ChiChi walked out of her room and snuck downstairs with her suitcase. She had packed the night before so she'd be ready. She went into the bathroom and took a quick shower, trying her hardest not to wake her father. Luckily, her father slept like a log, so there wasn't even a slight chance that she'd wake him up.
After her she was done with her shower, ChiChi got dressed. She put on a pair of baggy Khakis and a white and black Capsule Corp. shirt. She hadn't told her father that she was going to be gone for many months looking for dragonballs. He'd be pretty upset if she didn't at the least leave him a note explaining what she was going to do. She had writen it the night before to make sure she could make it as detailed as possible. It read:
Dear Dad,
Dad, I am sorry to say that I am sorta unhappy. Now, before you start to get upset, this is not a suicide note. I have decided that I need a little adventure in my life. Sitting here day after day gets a little boring.
Dad, there is something missing in my life, and I am going to find it. Bulma and I are going in search of the legendary DragonBalls. I know that if I told you that I was going, then you wouldn't let me go at all. That is why I am writing this note. I will be back after we find all seven of them, and I do not know how long that will take. I do know that it will take at least a month.
Do not worry about me, Dad. You have trained me well. I am a smart and strong young woman. I have beaten many strong men in tournaments, and that shows my strength. Bulma isn't quite as strong as me, but she is far more smarter. Acually, Bulma is a genius. She invented Dragon Radar, so we can find these Dragonballs a lot quicker. Remember, her father owns Capsule Corp. She has an endless supply of *popup* houses, cars, food, and anything else we are going to need to survive. So, Dad, do not worry.
When we find all seven dragonballs, I will make a wish that will make me happy. At least I think it will make me happy. I know I sound greedy, but I am in a severe state of depression, and I think this will help. I love you Daddy.
Love, Your Daughter, ChiChi
The note was perfect. ChiChi left it on the table next to the fridge. Her father would have to see it if he wanted to eat.
"I'm going to miss this place... and I'm going to miss you, dad," Chichi said with tears in her eyes. She was upset about abandoning her father. She was all he had left. Her mother had died when she was young, and she was his pride and joy. Without Chichi, he had nothing.
But, ChiChi had no choice. She had to go. No, she needed to go. It was for her own good. If she didn't, then she didn't know what she would do to help her current condition. She walked towards the door, took one last look over her shoulder, and left.
"Goodbye Dad."
"Where the hell is she!?" Bulma said with a pissed look on her face. ChiChi always seemed to be late. Just then, Bulma saw ChiChi walk around the corner of the street. She seemed to be taking her time which angered Bulma. "ChiChi, hurry up already!" Bulma Screamed down the Block.
ChiChi walked slightly faster but she really didn't care. Bulma was always bossing people around but ChiChi was used to it by now.
"What took you so long?" Bulma asked when ChiChi finally reached her, "And why didn't you take the car?!"
ChiChi rolled her eyes, "First of all, I couldn't of taken the car. My dad is going to need it and I know that you have over 50 cars here, so I didn't think that it would matter. Second, it took me so long because you house is 7 miles away from mine. I don't know if you noticed that, but I really hate walking that far. And third of all, Is this such a good idea? I feel weird leaving my father just for a wish. Are we actually even wishing for the right thing? Wishing for perfect boyfriends is a strange wish when we could be wishing for something like world peace. Or maybe something to stop world hunger!"
Despite ChiChi's ultra serious face, Bulma thought she was joking. Bulma started to crack up laughing on the floor, "HAAAAHAAA! World Peace?! World Hunger?! Thats soooo funny ChiChi! I didn't think that you had a good sense of humor but I guess I was wrong!"
"Uh, Bulma, I wasn't joking," ChiChi said, trying to clue her friend in.
Bulma started to calm down. A look of confusion was now on her face, "What? You really meant it? ChiChi, I know that you want to help people, but before you can you have to help yourself. Wishing for world peace would not be the answer. Though the world would be peaceful, you mind and soul would not. ChiChi, we'll look for the Dragonballs, and if we find them we'll wish for what we need to wish for. Then, when we are both happy, we can find them again, and wish for world peace."
"Yeah, I guess your right Bulma. Even if the world was peaceful, I wouldn't be."
"Yes, I'm ready!" ChiChi had suddenly got excited. She couldn't wait to make her *greedy* wish.
Bulma and ChiChi put all their belongings into the car and hopped in. Today was going to be great. They started off in the direction of the nearest Dragonball on Bulma's radar.
Before long, ChiChi had fallen fast alseep. It was 5 O'Clock PM by then, and she had barely gotten any sleep the night before. Bulma was tired too, but she had to drive so she couldn't get any sleep.
'We shouldn't of gotten up so early. *Yawn* We wouldn't of been so tired.' Bulma thought as she pulled the car to the side of the road. She got out of the car and pulled out a house capsule. She threw it on the ground and a house appeared. "ChiChi, wake up. Lets go to sleep in the House. Its getting dark and we're both tired.
ChiChi woke up suddenly from a dead sleep, "Huh? Huh? What? Oh, OK."
They both went in the house and went straight to sleep. They were so close to the first dragonball, but they needed rest to find it.
ChiChi's father had woken up. He walked into the kitchen find something to eat.
"ChiChi! Are you awake yet?" he called out to his daughter while glancing down at his watch. "Oh Kami! Its 5:00 PM! I've been asleep half the day! ChiChi! Get up honey! What do you want for breakfast?!"
There was no reply. 'Maybe shes just tired,' he thought, as he walked towards the refridgerator. Seeing a note lying on the table, he picked it up and started to read. "ChiChi? ChiChi?" He ran in his daughters room and noticed that all of her clothes were gone. "ChiChi?! CHICHI!!!" Chichi's father plopped on the ground. It stared into nowhere, wondering why she would of left him. How could she leave him? "My daughter... ChiChi... gone? Why ChiChi? How could you leave me... alone.. again?"
Her father just sat there, on the ground, the entire night. He had to overcome his grief. 'At least she didn't kill herself,' he thought. 'If she would of killed herself... I would of... Killed myself.'
