He was born after the Cell game and Son Goku's death. He always liked to be around his best friend Trunks except Trunks would like to get in trouble a lot. He turns into a super saiyan by training with Chi Chi. (Incredibly strange.)The first time he sees Son Goku is during the 25th Tenkaichi Budokai tournament when Goku gets to live one day back in Earth. Trunks beats up Mighty Mask and both of them want to join in as mighty mask. Goten gets the bottom and Trunks gets the top. They look all weird though and it should have been obvious. After the Tenkaichi Budokai tournament was interepted by Spoplvich and Yamu, all the z fighters including Goten and Trunks fly over to fight. Goten and Trunks fuse to hope to kill Buu. Other then all of this, nothing else happens to Goten really. He never surpasses Super Saiyan.
