From the moment Kon had appeared in the Tower in the miniature Superman costume, Tim had been thinking. Really though, except during exceptional kisses, he thinks all the time.

Most of his mind is running through the problem of how over two dozen heroes are supposed to take down half a thousand villains. But Tim is an excellent multitasker. So even as he's thinking and discarding plans and strategies, he's been observing Superboy.

The fact that as the more he sees, the more he wants to call Conner Superboy instead of Kon is telling. Kon has changed so much that he's not really Kon - kind of like how Bart is no longer Bart since getting shot by Slade. When he thinks about it, it's like his friends are slipping away and strangers are taking their forms.

Bart and Kon have become everything he'd prayed for at the beginning of Young Justice. Kon had become the leader Tim had always expected him to be and Bart thinks before he leaps now.

They're growing up and changing, and Tim wonders if they'll leave him behind, realizing that they no longer need him. Because Tim can't change. He's still needed exactly the way he is back in Gotham if he's to help keep his family stable. Perhaps that's his biggest fear.
