When Shigeru was introduced to the main group of the Yosei Kokoro, he made friends with each of them. While Shigeru was still living with his grandfather and sister, he also met a boy named Satoshi. Both grew very fond of each other, and it wasn't long before each of their friends knew of the blossoming romance, except for Seiyou. Shigeru often visited Seiyou, as a friend, but then learned she was in love with him, and wasn't afraid to admit that he did as well. Shigeru moved into an apartment when he became eighteen. Later, he found out he was to have a room-mate and after thinking about it for a while, accepted it. It turned out to be a boy named Satoshi, who he made friends with quickly... and then.... *ahem*. Half a year later, his room-mate was hit by a car, and the closest place for him to turn to was Nanami. While waiting for Satoshi's recovery, Shigeru fell in love with the chief of the police force, Seiyou and also met Nanako and Taichi. It was until after Satoshi's recovery that Seiyou had found out Shigeru was already Satoshi's boyfriend, but she remained calm, and Shigeru was thankful for it.
