Tetsu Hayami
Broody. self absorbent, and uncooperative, one might think that Tetsu is the long lost brother of Priss in BGC. A former elite member of the Blue Fleet, he is once again called into action when a mad man and his race of mutants threaten the world. Uncaring and indifferent to the cause, this creates lots of friction between him and Kino, who is a loyal officer of the Fleet. Like any good looking Anime character, Tetsu also hides a painful past within him, and must deal with it head-on close to the end of the series.
Mayumi Kino
Tough, idealistic, and loyal, Mayumi Kino is the perfect soldier commissioned to recruit Tetsu and stop the series' villain from achieving world domination. Her family was killed by their wanton destruction, so she feels determined to bring justice (and not to mention lots of butt-kicking) to Zorndike and his mutant forces. She seems to disapprove of Tetsu's actions but she eventually comes to appreciate him as a friend and fellow Fleet member.
