You're Not Alone

Chapter 10

Hello fans! I have gotten to typing again. I’m afraid this one isn’t going to be as long, though. One of my relative’s b-day is tonight, and I hafta help my mom prepare. And, because of the many reviews I’ve gotten, and the reviewers demands, I’ve decided to...well, just read it and figure it out. Okay...enough of the blah blah blah and on with typing...

Kiara walked into her room and yanked her hair out of it’s place. She kicked off her shoes and slithered out of her dress, putting it in the closet. She slipped a silk night gown on and walked into the bathroom. Tossing the whip onto floor, she sat down at her vanity table. Picking up a cloth soaked with a certain chemical, she began to dab it on her face, whiping off her make-up.

“This is wonderful...everyhing happening according to plan. I will soon be queen...it is my destiny...” she said, laughing to herself.

She took off her earrings and nacklace and laid them on the table. “Now the only thing I have to do is figure out how to convince Trunks to bond with me...” she said to herself.

Her icy pink eyes stared at her reflection in the mirror. “No one can defeat me now!”

Seven hours had dragged by very slowly, and Bra didn’t say much to Trunks during that time period. The two of them had a couple of close calls, when they thought she was going to die in the tank, but they were wrong and continued their watch. They both stared at the tank so intently, one might have thought they were expecting ti to sprout legs, stand up, and walk away.

Bra stared though the window at her friend’s face. It was still cut up and bruised, but she noticed one different gash on her right cheek. It looked like she had been slashed there with the whip. Of course, her idea wasn’t that far-fetched.

Turning back to look at Trunks, she smiled hopefully. She wondered why he had saved Pan. Was it because she was my best friend and kept her from nagging him? Or was it because he really cared for her? She had seen them kissing in the GR...but she had thought that he wasn’t really serious...he did have a fiancé...

It was then that she noticed a scar on her brother’s cheek. ‘Huh?’

She looked back at Pan’s gash, and saw that they were completely identical, except it looked like Trunks had longer to heal it. She blinked and looked again. ‘What’s up with that?’

“Trunks...” she queried, “...where did you get that scar?” she asked.

He looked at it, and tensed. ‘Did she notice?’ “I-I don’t remember...” he said, hoping she wouldn’t poke into the subject anymore.

“Oh.” she said, facing the tank again. ‘Okay...now I’m confused. Why do they have marks in the same spot? I’ve seen that with mom and dad before...wait a minute...are they...?’

“Trunks!” she asked, astonished, “Are you two bonded? You? Bonded with Pan?” she asked.

Trunks looked to the window of her tank. “I...I’m not sure...”

Bra’s eyes got even wider. “You mean...there’s a possibility?!” she screeched.

Trunks glared at his sister before he looked back at the tank. “Yes...there is a possibility.”

“You...you mean you...and you only knew her for, what? Two or three weeks?” she asked, her eyes almost popping out of her sockets.

(A/N: I believe this is time for a facefault, but I won’t put it in there because it is a serious fan fic...)

Trunks slapped his forehead. “No! What kind of person do you think I am?” he exclaimed. “I shouldn’t be telling you this because you are still young...”

“I’m as old as she is, baka.” she butt in.

Trunks sighed. “There are three parts to a bond. The physical, the mental, and the spiritual. We have only achieved the mental portion. It means that you think and feel what the other is feeling. This is always the first signs of bonds. It just happens. And not completely against our will...it’s just meant to be.”

Bra looked up at him quizzically. “What about the other two, the physical and spiritual?”

Trunks sighed, but continued to look at the tank. “Well, the phisical are some things that I shouldn’t say in front of you, and the spiritual is when the two become one soul. This also opens up a telepathic transmission between the two. The spriritual is always last.”

“You haven’t...have you...?” she asked, a glint of concern in her eyes for her best friend.

“They are yet to come.” Bra stared at him. “Both have to agree to it, of course, or the bond will not be completed.” Bra let out a sigh of relief. “Why? You didn’t think I was going to rape her, did you?”

Bra shook her head. “No...of course not...” They were silent for a while, before Bra piped up again. “Why is does the first part just happen?” she asked.

“I don’t know.” replied Trunks. “It’s just supposed to be that way.”

“Trunks.” she said, getting up and grabbing her cape. “Do you love her?” A puzzled look overcame his face. Bra was suprised when he answered quickly.

“Yes.” he looked at the meter on the tank, hope rising as it got to the green stage. “Yes, I do love Pan.”

Bra smiled, content with herself. She trusted her brother not to lie, epsecially over something like this. She was happy that he really meant it when he said it. Besides, f he really didn’t love her, why would he have carried his injured self all the way there just to save her from dying? They were going to be the best couple, she knew it. “I beleive you, Trunks. I think I’ll leave you alone with her for a while.”

Trunks looked up at his sister. “No, Bra, you don’t have to go.”

Bra smiled. “But I should. She should be getting out soon, and I think you want some time alone with her when she does.” Bra’s facial features turned colder. “There is something I need to attend to, anyway. I must get her mother out of the dungeon.”

Trunks stood up and grabbed his sister’s arm. “No, you musn’t do that! I have to be the one to cancel the trails. You taking her out of jail is illegal. Let me and Pan do it. Oh yes, and tell my secretary that lessons will be cancelled for the next couple of days.” Bra did not move. “Please?”

She sighed and exited. “Sure thing.”

Trunks turned back to the tank, letting his head rest on his hands as he stared through the glass. He leaned over and looked at the time on the control panel. It read: 3 hours, 24 minutes, and 51 seconds until she was fully healed. Letting out a sigh, he made himself comfortable on one of the nearby chairs in the room.

~~~~~~~2 hours later~~~~~~~~
Bra thanked the secretary and walked out of the room. Hmmm...I wonder how long until Pan is ready to come out. That alone took and 2 hours. I really want Pan to make an impression on Trunks when she sees him again. Maybe I should take care of her before she sees my brother and my parents. I have to look into that...
She continued down the corridor, but instead of turning left towards the med room, she turned towards her room, a smile planted on her face.
~~~~~~~~~~1 hour and 20 minutes later~~~~~~~

Bra entered the medical room, a robe in hand. Trunks stared questioningly at it, wondering what it was for. Bra caught the look and said, “I’m sorry Trunks, but I am not going to allow you to see her naked. t’s not like she’s wearing any clothes when she’ in there. ya know.”

Trunks’ cheeks turned a little pinker than normal, as he pretended not to pay attention. Bra stepped up to the now blue control panal and waiting. Within seconds, the screen bagan to flash white, and a beeping noise went off. Bra presse some buttons, and the liquid began to drain.

“Trunks, could you step outside for a bit. Oh yes, and call the doctors back in.” she said, shooing him outside.

Pan’s eyes shot open and they darted around. She ripped off the mask which was on her face. Pan was clueless as to why she was standing up, and what she was doing in a box. She looked down at her feet as the water slowly drained, noticing that she was completely naked. She covered herself up in embarassment.

The wall in front of her slowly began to rise upwards and she stepped out. Before she could look around, a pink robe was flung over her body. “Here, put this on.”

Pan tied it and looked up at the voice. “Bra!” she shouted, hugging her friend. “How did I get here?” she asked, slightly confused.

Bra smiled and took her friends hand, leading her out the back. “Trunks brought you back. He found you and carried you all the way back here. You would’ve died if it hadn’t have been for him.” she said, dragging Pan through the corridors.

Pan looked about nervously. “Um...where are you taking me?” she asked.

“To your room. I have arranged for you to stay here for a while. Me, Trunks and one of the doctors are the only people who still know you are alive.”

Pan smiled. “Thanks.” Then, her face twisted into that of pure shock. “Where is my mother!”

Bra pushed her into a room. “She is fine. She is still inthe dungeon, though. We cannot get her just yet.”

“Why NOT?!” Pan yelled, furious.

“Because we need to sort a few things out. Don’t worry, she will be able to last until we figure everything out. Now come here. You need to get dressed...”

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Trunks walked into the medical room again, the doctors and engineers working busily on everything. One of them came up to him. “Your Majesty, your injuries are very dangerous. I highly recomend that you heal in a regeneration tank, sir.” he said nervously.
“Don’t worry, I’ll be fine. Besides, your stupid regeneration tanks take too long.” he said, waving his hand.
“Well, Your Highness, we do have something else that could fix you up in no time. It just needs to be worked on, it was damaged in the accident.” he said, shuffling around.
Trunks chuckled to himself. He always found it amusing how so many people feared him. “Really? How come my father and I had never heard of it?” he asked, pleased when the man showed definate signs of fear in his features.
The small man was very scared that he would die if her didn’t answer his question correctly. Trunks, of course, would never do that. “Well, sir, it was completed until recently. I beleie your father is aware of it, Your Majesty.”
“Very well. How long until it is finished?”
“About an hour or so, sir. There are just minor repairs required to make it completely functional again.” he said, bowing.
“Thank you. That will be all.” he said, a smile trying to appear on his face as he saw the man nervously bow again, and walked away. Trunks chuckled again. ‘Silly scientists...’
Pan stared at heself in the mirror and scowled. “I hate make-up.”
“Don’t worry, I won’t make it too obvious...just a touch here and a smidge here...wait a minute! What am I doing this for?” Bra ran to an intercom near her door. “Lui, get down here with some other girls. Make-up session.” she said. Walking back towards Pan, she pulled up a plush chair and sat in it, sinking into the pillows.
“Yes! No make-up, right?!” she said, jumping up.
Bra closed her eyes and giggled. “No. Sit down.”
“But--”
The door slammed open and three girls rushed in, holding bags, dresses, shoes, and other acessories in their hands. The one in the front, Lui, said to Bra, “Is this the one?”
Bra nodded and pointed to Pan.
“All right, then. Sit down.” she said, directed towards Pan. “Okay girls, let’s get started.”
In seconds, Pan was swarmed by hairbrushes, clips, eyeshadow and lipstick.
Trunks walked over to the scientists. “Is it done, yet?”
One of them looked up. “Yes, just adding the finishing touches, Prince Trunks. There.” he said, looking at the peice of technology with satisfaction.
“What is it?” Trunks asked, curious.
“It is a small healing device. It, unfortunately, is not as good as the regeneration tanks, but it only takes seconds to heal wounds. In your case, I beleive this thing should do just fine.”
“How does it work?” he asked, still not used to the idea of not using a regeneration tank.
“Well, it’s quite simple. You hold down this white button, while holding it over the wound. It heals it in seconds. It cannot be an extremely deep gash, because it can only heal shallow cuts.” the scientist explained.
“Well, what are you waiting for? Use the damn thing!” he exclaimed.
“Yes, sir!”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The three make-up specialists stepped back to look at their new masterpeice.

“Pan, you look gorgeous!” screeched Bra, looking at her new attire.

“I feel glitzy.” she said, looking at herself in the large mirror.

Her hair was tied up in a loose bun, some loose strands curled, left dangling on the side of her face. Her black locks were surrounded by a certian saiyan flower, called the Licornia. It was a white flower with silver crystals dotting the petals. It was a very rare plant, but they never died.

Her face was another creation in itself. They had dabbed some light powder on her face, giving it a soft glow. Her eyes were outlines with white eyeliner, and some pale white eyeshadow to complimant it. Silver mascara curled her eyelashes upward, which held small silver crystals on the tip of each indiviual eyelash. Her cheecks were just lightly touched up with a sparkling blush, making her cheeks shine. Her lips were touched up with a clear lip gloss, making her lips look almost metallic.

Her dress was like that of a princess’. It was a pure white dress which clung to her upper-body in all the right places, pushing up her breasts just a bit. (A/N: think mideval types of dresses, here, where they had the “seperate” tops) The bottom was made of a shimmery silver material, making the silver embroidery on the top portion stand out. It flared out all the ay down to her feet, completely covering them. Pan had to lift up the dress just to walk. The sleeves, which were made of the same silver- like material, hung loosely until about her elbows, where they were tied securely. The bottom of the sleeves flared out, making her look like a sorceress. The neckline of the dress was square shaped, and dipped down low, showing a little too much cleavage to Pan’s liking. She looked like a princess, and her presence was filled with that of power, and beauty.

Pan raised an eyebrow. She had never been this dressed up before...she felt strange in the expensive clothes. “I-I don’t think so...”

“Nonsense, Pan.” said Bra, cutting her off. “You look stunning. Trunks won’t be able to take his eyes off of you.” she said, a smile spreading across her lips. “Come on, he is probably wondering where you are,” she said, dragging Pan reluctantly out the door.
