For this model, i really recommand painting.i just don't like the light purple for Evangelion 01. This model shouldn't be a too hard to build, but i wouldn't recommand it if this is your first model.
The head is very detailed, if you painted it well it looks great. Many people say this is my best model because of the detailed head.
The hand is a two piece, so he can't hold any other model's weapon but his. This is a great model and i recommand you buy this. The only bad thing is that the arm is a one piece so it can't move.
