Spade is your classic murauder. Merciless, demented and trigger happy. He can be recognized with his metal patch, tall red hair, and Jack card symbol on his head.(Why they call him Spade, with a Jack symbol, I'll never know)

In the series:When he attacks a helpless farmer, Kenshiro emerges to save the bistandard. Ken gives Spade the chance to leave(like he does everyone) and of course Spade refuses. Spade fires an arrow at Ken, only to have it reflected back at him, puncturing his right eye.

As Spade seeks to get revenge, he feels the only way to do so is to attack the farmer he had attempted to rob earlier. Kenshiro returns to the village only to see the poor farmer, murdered before him.

So the fight between Kenshiro and Spade begins. First Ken breaks Spade's nose, then breaks his arms (they joint up in the opposite direction), and then Ken shoves his thumbs into Spade's head. "The Northstar fist of Remorse."(Pictured to the right)
