He gently combed sword-calloused fingers through the soft, damp-tinged azure whispering softly against his shoulder. Violet eyes so used to being crystallized softened their gaze as it fell upon the dark lashes, fair cheek, and soft lips.
He who looked so often like marble and was often twice as cold and hard held the quietly slumbering lean form of his best friend, comrade-in-arms and lover carefully, so carefully - as though afraid he might shatter the only one in the world who understood him, he who was more important than life, death or even honor.
More accurately, as he cautiously brushed fingertips along the soft skin, Seiji was afraid of shattering this moment.
There was no longer time. Their past faded in this fog of love and forgetfulness; their future, which was never all that clear to begin with, withdrew and left them their privacy. No one else existed except for the two of them, and this moment. Now was all that Seiji wanted, could ever want.
Eloquent lips pouted as sky blue eyes fluttered into half-waking, but the frown eased as those eyes locked with his own. He hadn't wanted the moment to pass. He had been desperate to cling to it for as long as he could hold on.
But the moment had not passed, merely shifted some. Touma pushed himself up and forward, let their lips meet in seeming accident, but with no small amount of tenderness.
Bow-stung fingers slid up over porcelain shoulders as he moved into his lover's embrace and against him, right into the place where he just FIT. He knew he belonged here, as he belonged nowhere else. In those strong arms that bore more than occasional scars he was safe and loved.
He had known for so long the dream that so many had of flying. And yes, it was exhilarating. But it was also cold, lonely. It had rammed home the truth that Touma was so very very far away from everyone else.
To be so very very near to someone, to be held, kissed and loved - this was an exhilaration above and beyond anything the sky's empty embrace could offer. He'd give up flying for this; he'd give his life. The elegantly handsome swordsman already had his mind, heart, body and soul, after all.
Right now was his heaven. To spend eternity just like this - and it felt like eternity. He could hardly remember anything before now it seemed, and he could not think beyond this moment either. He didn't want to. Holding on to NOW with all that was in him was all that mattered.
They broke reluctantly, eyes speaking when even their minds had stopped communicating. Touma smiled. Seiji smiled.
They didn't have to try to hold on to this moment. It would be with them always, remembered by their minds, cherished by their hearts. As long as they were together, they would be living in this moment forever.

This piece of Seiji/Touma flavored cotton candy was written for the fabulous Miss Becky. You can take it and read it and keep it for yourself, but please ask her for permission to post it. I wrote it for her, it's her gift, therefore, she has the say of what happens with it.
This has no plot and no purpose. It is just sweet. The surgeon general recommends brushing your teeth immediately after reading. Thank you.
