Introducing Halona Cheryl and Stanley's new Rescue girl

For some unknown reason, I read the article (see link above) and I knew I had to get another dog. The time wasn't right, financially we've been stressed for some time but I felt compelled. I went on Petfinder and looked at the same shelter we got Oneida and Lulubelle from and found Rayne. Knew nothing about her other than she was blind in one eye but knew she was supposed to be mine. She is so bad, she broke every rule in my house within the first 24 hours! She gets away with murder...she is just so beautiful and she makes my heart so happy! I didn't know how much I had closed off until she came into my life. We recently had her to the eye specialist to see if there was anything we could do to restore her sight. Sadly, there is nothing they can do. Her eye has decreased in size by about 25% and the scarring on the lens couldn't be seen through. He wasn't able to determine if it was an illness or injury that caused it. He assured me that she is not in pain now although when it happened it was probably very painful. That part breaks my heart....for my beautiful girl to possibly be alone and in pain or for her to have a home and not have received any help....
