Bernese Mountain Dogs Gallery of Friends
Breeze's 1st Swim! With Thanks to Joye Neff for these new fun pics of Breeze Our Three Rivers' BMD Club held a picnic at member/vet Larry and Barbara Gerson's cabin near Indiana, PA. We collected about 15 DNA cheek swab samples from member Berners with another five sets taken home to be done on Berners who weren't there today! The potluck luncheon was spectacular and everyone had a great time. There is a pond on the property and Breeze decided to take a swim. She is just 4 1/2 months old and this was her first time in water. She jumped right into the pond, splashed around, then started swimming a methodical paddle using her tail as a rudder towards the middle of the pond. I called her name and she swam in a "U Turn" and came back to shore. She obviously loved the water and came out and had a nice roll in the grass. She got a bath when she got home!!! She's sleeping soundly right now.....
