Monty

1999 to June 19th 2005

"We
lost Monty on June 19, 2005 almost two months after he was diagnosed
with Malignant Histiocytosis. We found the cancer by accident after
an x-ray was taken because he'd been vomiting from a rope he'd
mistaken for a snack at the dog park. We fought a hard battle but
lost the impossible war that is MH. Monty died on Fathers' day with
his four favorite people in the world holding him. Things just
haven't been the same without him and they never will be.
I miss our days of running our dog walking service together.
Dad and I miss how you'd howl at fire trucks. We miss how you slept
on your back with your legs wide open in the middle of the sidewalk
and expect everyone to walk around you. We miss watching other
people fall in love with you within 5 minutes of meeting you. We
miss the smell of your fur. We miss how you'd hide rawhides in the
yard and get your nose all dirty. We miss how you thought you were a
110 lb. lap dog. We miss your beautiful eyes and the way you watched
us. We miss everything about you. Monty, you'll always be in our
hearts and memories."
