Bernese Mountain Dog, Bear, with daughter Jackie My love for Bernese Mountain Dogs started with Bear. I remember getting him from the breeder in Scotland. What a great puppy..he acted like a little Bear. The name fit him so well. He adjusted quite well when we relocated back to the States. He wasn't that fond of the hot weather but adjusted to it. Missed his Scottish Shortbread Cookies (his favorite). My husband would pick up some of these cookies everytime he made a trip to Scotland. Bear just loved them!!!!! Bear wasn't that thrilled when we added another Berner to the family. He did not like those puppy teeth or being crawled on all the time. However he would let her know enough was enough. Bear and Meisje became friends. She is going to miss him too. Today I said goodbye to my sweet, sweet boy but he will forever live in my heart. Thank you my baby Bear for being everything I needed for the last 5 years. You were taken way too soon. |
