Bernese Mountain Dog, Erin. "Erin was a tomboy. She had the loudest bark, longest tongue always hanging to one side and a desire to drink water from anything outside. She had one litter of 12 and was a good mother. Quite by accident, Erin was taken from her mother Amy at birth and given to me. It was love at first sight. I bided my time and when Erin was retired she was mine. It was appropriate that when her life ended we lay together, Erin with her paw on my shoulder and I hugging her. We just looked at each other and as she always did, she loved me with her eyes." Karen also lost Amy, Erin's Dam, at the age of twelve, For Amy's Tribute Page <click here. |
