Gannon Santera Swiss Toby Our only purebred. He was a Bernese Mountain Dog. Toby was our star - the one I'd been waiting for since I was a teenager when I met a friend's Berner and fell hopelessly in love. I knew someday I would have one of these beautiful creatures. Sadly, Toby died on Friday, June 30, 2000 - one day after his 3rd birthday. He was diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer called malignant histiocytosis.
