Loving Memory of
Gretel Isabelles Gingerbread Haus Frau April 8th 2006 to February 7th 2014 So much loved and now so very sadly missed by Donna and Bill Stayduhar Gretel's obituary on the TRBMDC newsletter Crossing the Rainbow Bridge Gretel was a Daddys little girl but dearly loved by both Bill and Donna Stayduhar. She was a smart, stub- born, and cautious Berner but she loved to please, provided it was within her comfort zone. As the years passed, Gretel began to come out of her shell. She was a faithful and loyal companion and is missed tremen- dously. Gretel dug deep and fought an amaz- ing battle with cancer. Gretal was diag- nosed in May of 2012. She was treat- ed with the Madison Wisconsin proto- col, which involved 26 weeks of chemo which ended in December 2012. She relapsed in May, 2013 and was successfully treated again. How- ever, she did not go into full remission. Gretel eventually built up a resistance to most of the chemo drugs. She was really only sick for the last three days. Donna and Bill did everything within their power to help Gretel fight a good fight and helped her to live an extra 20 months truly an amazing feat. She passed at home on February 7, 2014. Memories of Gretel include lots of parades. In fact, Gretel was even at our most recent Holiday Parade in Butler in December. She didnt let her illness keep her from walking with those she loved in the parade. Gretel was also a regular with the other TRBMDC Bern- ers in the Sugarcreek Parade. Its fond memories like these that will be treas- ured forever by Bill and Donna. Rest in peace, dear Gretel!
