From the day we picked her up we did everything in our power to keep her healthy. I fed her a raw food diet, minimum vaccinations and did not spay her. She has for the most part been very healthy except for Pyometra at the age of 7, at which point we had her spayed. This is not uncommon for intact older female dogs. She recovered nicely and the only other illness she has had so far is Lymes disease. After a round of antibiotics she was back to herself. She is now 10 years and 3 months, she comes to work with us every day, loves her walks in the woods and still prances around like a young dog.
