I never thought this day would come! I want to wish my Stella (Friichtenicht's Dream Catcher) a very happy 10th birthday. I could never have imagined these last ten years without her. It all started out very rocky when she was diagnosed with FCP at 5 months of age. I had talked to several Vets trying to determine what course of treatment to follow. One Vet suggested I put her down and not do anything. He said I would be lucky to get two years out of her and that I would spend a small fortune for two years. I guess we proved him wrong. I am so glad I went with my gut. Yes, I have spent a small fortune (all worth it) but for that small fortune I have had my best friend by my side. It was rocky again last year and we had to have her front left leg amputated. We all thought we¢d be lucky to make it through the spring. She again proved everyone wrong and has gotten a bounce back into her step (not talking about the limp). She constantly amazes our Vet and me with her resiliency. I could never have asked for a better companion. She knows me so well. Stella, here is a BIG birthday hug, kiss, and belly rub to you, my VETERAN!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!
