Celebrating our Berner Veterans
In Loving Memory of McKenzie Ch Hapi Mtn Up and Over May 18th 2002 to February 27th 2013 Owned, loved and now so sadly missed by Dave Cummings and Kathy Deyo Bred by Kathy Deyo 
April 2012, he was awarded Best of Breed out of Veterans McKenzie is now officially CH Hapi Mtn Up And Over - at 10 years young! Following in his father's footsteps (Ch Hopes Georgia On My Mind), he earned two back-to-back majors in July, to finish his championship at 10. He had all his singles when he was younger but I just never finished him, partially because he lived with his co-owner. We would bring him out as a veteran to our local supported entry and he would strut his stuff one day and go home. This April he was awarded Best of Breed out of Veterans and pulled in group, and friends started asking why he wasn't finished. Well...I took him to three sets of shows and got those two majors! Then I entered him and Whisper (Ch Hapi Mtn's Best Kept Secret) who was 12 in April, in the supported entry weekend in Portland, OR the next weekend. McKenzie took Select Dog both days out of Veterans (over 6 dog specials) and Whisper took Select Bitch one day out of Veterans (over 6 bitch specials). I am overcome with emotion and the heart-tugging sheer joy of having these two dogs in my life. Both were shown to their championships in bred-by. Many thanks to Fred Thomas who showed McKenzie so beautifully in Portland when I had both dogs to take in at the same time. We should all be so blessed! Bernerly Kathy M.
