Celebrating our Berner Veterans
In Loving Memory of Doppo Doppo do Montagnana di Berna April 24th 2002 to August 8th 2012 Owned, so much loved and now so very sadly missed by Simone de Lima 
Doppo died yesterday of cardiac arrest. during surgery attempting to decompress his cervical spinal column, where a tumor had been found in November last year. Up until 10 days ago, despite the cancer and an abscess that was hard to heal because of the prednisone he had to take, Doppo was still enjoying life. In the last ten days he was unable to walk, despite the meds and acupunture. His autopsy showed the cancer had spread to his lungs so he wouldn't last long. 
Despite the cancer and other issues, Doppo turned 10 on April 24h. When his tumor was found in November last year, I really didn't think he would make it to a decade! He's struggling with recuperating from an abscess gone awry and hasn't been able to walk unassisted for a week, now ...but he's been getting better every day.
