Internet Background:
I first came onto the internet during my years in Junior High School. I was a both a big time Sonic and W:tA fan back then. Probably the first time I had ever made contact with other internet users is when I learned of Newsgroups on my Dad's Outlook Express. I became a regular of the Rage newsgroup and gave myself an Ajabian (werehyena) name as: Amanda-Laughs-Menacingly. As you can see I still trade and collect Rage cards. I was also a member to the Hyena Newsgroup which is still dead to this day. And I'm still not going back to the Werewolf Newsgroup after I was shooed away for talking about Werewolves in folklore and not what I did on my vaction.
When in High school, my Sonic fandom was starting to fade while I became obessed over Final Fantasy 7 (I finally got a Playstation) and I finally got Cartoon Network which started showing old anime I used to see back in the 80's (Robotech and Voltron). During this time I got into the drug known as Fanfiction and rarely made contact with other people on the internet.
During around the middle of High School, I got into Ronin Warriors and started getting into Japanese history. I made little contact with other Ronin Warrior fans on Swiftgold's website. During late in High School, I wasn't much into Outlaw Star until I saw the last esp.s. After that I rewatched it again and loved it. I finally decided I needed to make contact again knowing my impluse for finding rare information which soon prove very helpful on Outlaw Star.Net. I made freinds with some people on there and decided to get a local account as Laughing Hyena. I soon was curious on what Ryu Knight was about and started looking up on Itoh's (creator of OLS) other works and you know the rest of that story.
As of now, I'm in College and Co-administrator at Outlaw Star.Net (my title: 'Takehiko Itoh Stalker').
Fanfiction and Artist Background:
To tell you the truth I have always been an artist for most of my life now, which I have to thank my Asperger's for. I have improved over the years and have been learning other styles as well. My favorite art mediums so far has been Watercolors followed by Oil paints. While I do like drawing stuff lifelike and fantasy style, my own art style is a cross between Japanese and American super deformed comics.
I started writing in Junior High School, and love to type on the internet even if's its slow. I want to write at least some books in my lifetime may it be for children or adults. I have finally started writing Fanfictions and I have great ideas that most FF writers don't notice. For an amateur my writing style is decent and good. I hope to write like E. E. Smith some day.
I have been around a long time as a fanfic reader. So I have become a Fanfic reviewer for Vince's Fanfic submissions on his website. I don't like stuff like Mary Sues, ideas that have been used a million times the same way, and dead characters coming back to life for no good reason.
Real Life Background:
Born in Ventura and raised in Oxnard for most of my life. I was different from the other kids. I had Asperger's Disease, which is a type of mental disabitly. That's why people used to call me a 'Mute' back then, Asperger's don't know how to act socially (But they are really smart and get obsessed with things: ideal anime fan). I went to Williams, spent one year in Hathaway, one year at Humemne, then to Blackstock Junior high, then to Channel Islands High School, and finally to Ventura College. It was during Blackstock, that I started to change. I actually took up interest in writing and took an internet class (BS was considered a High Tech school, heck it even got an award for it). My mom actually works there as a English 8th grade teacher, I never did go into her class though. My dad used to work for Thrifty's and when it changed to Rite Aid (Bite Aid), he later quit the job and now works at Office Max. My older sister Zara is married and has her own daughter now, yeah I'm an aunt. My younger sister is still a pain though. I still care for her, though, and will kick anyone's ass who tries to attack her. It does feel like we have switched sides now. I'm more social than I used to be. And she's teenage angst incarnate. I'm friendly to those who I befriend and those who befriend me on the internet and in real life. I'm generous and loyal to the bone. And will defend my friends if need be. However, it takes alot to anger me, and you don't want to see an enraged Hyena.
