With help from empires which had long-standing rivalries with the Colus family, the small country of Hagooda was given military support to take on the colossal Trio. Armed with MH Maglows (pictured below), Hagooda thought that they could take on the Berlins of the Colus giant. The Empire of Fillmore sent out seven of their best Temple Knights disguised as the mercenary company Boowray Rainbow to help the Hagooda cause. These knights were head by Vralgo Kentauri, a knight who had almost killed King Colus III in 2957. Colus III (who is actually Colus XXIII, but the names of the Colus kings are shortened in the manga) was then saved by Doctor Morard Carbyte and given Ulicul as his Fatima. Colus then met up with Vralgo after he healed and humiliated him. Vralgo hopes to meet Colus on the field of battle and avenge his honor.
The war progresses...
The Boowrays win all of their battles, and soon take over a third of Colus territory. The secret of the Boowrays is that they are actually modified Sirens, the Fillmore Empire's finest MHs and one of the three most powerful "Old-School" designs. Meanwhile, Colus III completes his prototype MH Junchoon (pronounced jew-known), destined to become the most powerful Mortar Headd in the Galaxy. However, now it is only a shadow of its full self, because the engine installed in it cannot produce enough power for its state-of-the-art Land Booster. The Junchoon First Sally Type is deployed in the field of battle, with Colus as the pilot and Ulicul as the Fatima co-pilot. The Junchoon is very successful in its mission until it is attacked by the Yellow Boowray, under the command of Gellow Sgas-cone and his Fatima Syucha. The Boowray knights treat their Fatimas like slaves, and do not regard them as human beings, only hardware that they can use and then discard. Gellow defeats the Junchoon and injures Colus. Ulicul hides Colus from the Hagooda search parties, ultimately sacrificing herself to protect Colus. An angered Colus then kills Gellow for slaughtering Ulicul, and then is surrounded by the search party. However, he is saved by a group of AKD Mirage Knights, who then recover the Junchoon from a curious Maglow.
The arrival of allies...
Later, Emperor Ameratasu of the AKD and President (or "Big Leader", as one fansubber put it in the DVD) Mission Rouath (disguised as Ladios Sopp and Voards Veiwlard) arrive on Juno. They proceed to the palace, and Sopp (in his female form) and Magaella (Ballanche's 40th Fatima, and Rouath's Fatima co-pilot of the MH Cormal) stand nude on the side of the road in an effort to hitch-hike. They are picked up by a group of amused Trio Knights and brought to the palace, where a recovered Colus awaits. Sopp starts working on improving the engine on the Junchoon. Meanwhile, Queen Lachesis of the AKD (sister to Colus' second Fatima, Clotho) is accompanied by three Mirage Knights to Juno. Ameratasu instructs his knights to send word for three LED Mirages and one Mirage engine for use in the Junchoon. The mirages arive on the transport cruiser Dola, along with the Cross Mirage, a secret recon Mirage designed with probes that help in the Mirage Teleportation process. The Junchoon is reawaked, but is scared (MHs are actually artificially created beings). Clotho calms the mighty MH, and announces that she will co-pilot it with Colus in the final battle. Meanwhile, Black Knight 2 Roados Dragoon (an old friend of Colus, who helped Dr. Morard with the recovery of Colus in 2957) and Dr. Morard arrive on Juno. Roados and his Fatima Est (who is a legendary Fatima whose chosen master automatically becomes the next Black Knight, and posessor of the MH Vatsu) decide to join the Trio side in the final battle. Dr. Morard encounters Lachesis, who transforms into a French-speaking reflection of her fully developed self. (No, really, I am not making that up!) Soon, the LED Mirages, the MH Cormal, the Junchoon, and the Vatsu (which is the MH which appears in the introduction to the FSS Movie) are assembled on the battle lines for one final fight.
The final battle begins...
As the final battle begins, Ameratasu realizes that Colus and Clotho think that they will not be coming back from this battle. He has his personal MH, the Knight of Gold Lachesis, prepped for battle. As the battle starts, Berlins and Maglows clash on the field, but there are no Boowrays in sight. The Queen of Hagooda thinks that she has been abandoned, but she is reassured that the Boowrays will move. Also, she is notified that if she is successful, the A'p Temple Knights of the Hathutha Union Republic will storm the Trio, and finish the job. The Queen does not realize that she has been manipulated by the stronger forces of the galaxy, and the the Hathutha Union Republic and the Fillmore Empire are just using her as a pawn to weaken the Trio.
Suddenly, a MH teleports near the Junchoon. It appears to be a Boowray, but is in fact a stronger Siren F Type piloted by Vralgo. He demolishes the Berlins protecting the Junchoon, and destroys the Headliner cockpit, killing Colus. Meanwhile, the Knight of Gold teleports as well, but is too far away from the Junchoon to do any good. Then, the Knight of Gold breaks down (it is a pattern that the strongest MHs are the least reliable in the FSS universe). The Cross Mirage saves the KoG at the last moment from a menacing Maglow. Then, the Cross Mirage fires out its Beyond Seeker Probe, and gives the LED Mirages teleport coordinates for the Junchoon. The LEDs teleport, but can do little to help the pilotless Junchoon. However, Clotho releases her true power, summoning her powers to take command of the KoG and have it toss its speid (a metal sword, as supposed to a spadd, which is a laser sword) towards the Junchoon. The Junchoon catches the sword. It takes off its mask to reveal its "true face", one of a beautiful maiden, and quickly destroys the Siren in one hit. The Trio forces are given a sense of renewed fervor, and quickly demolish the opposing forces, with the LED Mirages disposing of the remaining Boowrays. Two days later, Hagooda surrenders to the Trio, having overthrown their Queen (in a rebellion staged by F.U. Rognar, one of the two joint field commanders of the Mirage Knights). The people of the Trio rejoice at the victory, and yet are sorrowful because of the loss of their queen.
In the aftermath, Clotho and Junchoon are set in a vault to be protected until they are needed by a king of the Trio in the future (the Junchoon will be moved by the last Black Knight to a secure location when the Trio falls to the AKD; this is shown in FSSe Chapter One). FEMC Knight #14 is assigned as the ambassador to the Trio, and the Queen of the Trio announces that she had become pregnant with Colus' son before he died. The Colus line of rulers would yet live on. However, conflict was brewing on the planet Both, which would soon bring another exiting chapter of adventures in the Five Star Galaxy...
