Hotaru's Life and Personality Hotaru is an only child, of Professor Tomoe Souichi. She is a very shy, isolated person, yet extremely wealthy. She had no friends at her school, a rich and elite school named Mugen Gakuen. Hotaru has a strange power, which her classmates deem as unnatural and gross, she has the ability to cure wounds. Her classmates were not particularly fond of Hotaru, so she spent most of her time in her father's mansion. Because she has this power to cure, her body is weak, and easily exhausted. Hotaru also has a special power to destroy, in addition to her powers to heal. As Sailor Saturn, she is not her normal, well-spirited self. She wields the fearsome pole-arm known as the Silence Glaive (very scary). She can use the weapon to slice through anything that gets in her way. Hotaru is also the Silent Messiah who sits on a throne surrounded by dolls; she has something to do with silence (really, really, really scary). We don't get to see that much of Sailor Saturn like in the manga, we only see her in two episodes. |

Her Powers and Attacks Saturn Planet Power, make up! – She never actually transforms and attacks. Silence Glaive - Her powerful polearm, the Silence Glaive, is her most used weapon. It is bigger than she is, she uses it to do all of her attacks and to cleave through enemies. The weapon ends up destroyed though… Silence/Silent Wall - Sailor Saturn holds her Silence Glaive up horizontally, as black bolts radiating from the centre of her grip form a protective shield. She used this shield to stop attacks. Silence Glaive Surprise - Sailor Saturn brings her glaive down vertically, and all falls silent right before the weapon strikes the ground. The earth shatters before her and she unleashes a massive pink explosion of unmatched destructive power. Death Reborn Revolution - Sailor Saturn uses this attack when she tries to destroy the world in Sailor Moon S. Fortunately the attack was stopped before completion. Countless pink ribbons streak from her Silence Glaive, shredding everything in their path. See animated gifs |

The Story of Hotaru One day, in one of Professor Tomoe's experiments, an explosion occurred that killed his daughter, killed Hotaru. A strange entity named Mistress 9 appears. She tells Professor Tomoe that she can give Hotaru her life back. The Professor, wanting his daughter, sold his soul to Mistress 9 to get Hotaru back. Mistress 9 then possessed Hotaru, but she didn’t know that she was a Sailor Scout, and the most powerful Scout of all. The Outer Senshi thought Hotaru was the Silent Messiah, and they tried to kill her. They sent a triple attack at her, but she just smiled, Serena jumped in front of her and saved her. Hotaru then disappeared into thin air. Mistress 9 appears when the Silent Messiah swallows Chibi Usa’s pure heart. Mistress 9 calls upon Master Pharaoh 90, and it is soon clear that the world was soon to be destroyed. But Mistress 9 could not contain the love and happiness Hotaru felt for her father and Chibi-Usa, and was destroyed. Hotaru then returns as Sailor Saturn, and gives back Chibi-Usa's heart crystal. She tells Sailor moon the only way to save the world from Master Pharaoh 90 is to Silence it and heal it, Sailor Moon argues and says there is another way. Sailor Saturn ignored her and went to fight Master Pharaoh 90, so Sailor moon went after her. Sailor Saturn defeated Master Pharaoh 90. Sailor moon returned alone, carrying a baby wrapped in a purple blanket, the baby Hotaru. Her father took her back to raise her once again, but Setsuna took Hotaru from him. Glass monsters made by Neherenia were attacking sailor Neptune and Sailor Uranus when Sailor Pluto returned with baby Hotaru; she set her in a flowerbed. A monster tried to kill the baby! Hotaru blasted the monster into smithereens, and then sign of Saturn appeared on her forehead. She then powered up the Outer Senshi into their Super Forms and grows up to be a child of five years old (scary). The child talks of bad things that are going to happen. That night, the spirit of Sailor Saturn comes back to Hotaru and reawakens her. Hotaru's memories are returned, ones that she was so ashamed of. Hotaru ages again and walks out to the room Michiru, Haruka, and Setsuna are in. They are amazed to see she has once again grown older, and she tells them more frightening visions. During an attack by glass monsters, the Outer Senshi appear and the Inner Senshi are surprised...they are even more surprised to see Sailor Saturn. She tells every one to give their energy to Sailor moon so she can transform into Eternal Sailor moon. Queen Neherenia kidnaps all the Senshi and brings them to her world of illusions. But Sailor Saturn and Sailor Chibi moon are left together and confront Neherenia in her castle. Sailor Saturn then shows her first attacks ever, yay! Silence Wall, which protects her and others from any attacks that might be headed her way, Silence Glaive Apply, the most powerful attack out of all the Senshi. The explosion from the attack caused Usagi to fall over although she was really far away. What's even more amazing is that you also see that the full attack hadn't even been done because Chibi moon stopped the Glaive from reaching the ground. Sailor Saturn and the rest of the Outer Senshi leave Sailor Moon Sailor Stars, but some time on in the series, they come back to fight Sailor Galaxia who tells Sailor Saturn that it was she who gave her back her life when she died during the lab explosion, to become a Sailor Senshi again so she could get her star seed. Saturn screamed that it wasn’t the truth and vowed she would kill Sailor Galaxia if she must die doing so, but Galaxia stopped her. Sailor Saturn does what she vowed, die killing Galaxia, just like all the other Senshi, she was killed. However, not by Galaxia directly but instead by Sailor Uranus & Sailor Neptune, who thought they could overcome Galaxia all by themselves. .(stupid them) Sailor Pluto and Sailor Saturn committed suicide. They simply stood there, closed their eyes, and waited to die. They didn't want to fight Neptune and Uranus because they were friends.
