Allen is at the castle with King Aston. He explains their problems with Zaibach. King Aston doesn't believe what Allen is saying because Zaibach already got to them. Folken appears in front of them. He tells the king that Fanelia launched a sneak attack on Zaibach (which is not true). Allen never heard of this attack. Folken says if he were to hand in Van and the Escaflowne, they would overlook what happened. Folken wants to avoid any conflicts that would jeopardize their alliance. King Aston agrees and will have Van sent in if he is found. Folken leaves. Aston says that he believes in Chivalry, he'll turn in Van.
Hitomi walks in with a new and improved look! Millerna has given one of her dresses to Hitomi because her other clothes looked bad. Merle says that Hitomi now looks more like a hand maiden. Van lowers Merle's head to the table with a shocked look on his face. Millerna's maid was going to throw Hitomi's old clothes away, but Hitomi snatches them before she has the chance. They have sentimental value. Millerna gets the impression that there is some kind of story behind Hitomi, and she'll get Allen to tell her about it. A letter from Allen arrives. He tells Millerna and the others to go to the Bazaar without him. They get up to go and Van tosses Hitomi her duffle bag. Who knows if they'll have to flee in a short time? Van wants to be prepared.
The crusade men are at the cliff covering up the Escaflowne, or, at least trying to. It's lunch time! As Gaddes tries to sit down for a bite to eat, the Austurian guards pop up and find the Escaflowne. "By Order of King Aston, you will turn over this guymelef." They have no choice but to give it in. the guards have swords and they have diddly squat.
Everyone is now in the Bazaar. Van is rushing through the crowd while Hitomi runs into a man with a dolphin head. She gets startled and Merle says people from the mystic moon get startled easy. They get behind from Van and Millerna so he tells them to hurry up. Van spots some Zaibach soldiers and sees his brother. He runs ahead hoping to catch up with him. As Millerna tries to stop him, Hitomi notices some things for sale, one of which is a CD. She puts it in her Disc Man and listens to it. She remembers the good old days of being back home, being with Yukari and Amano. Her thoughts were suddenly shattered with a vision of Van being killed. (What else is new?) She runs towards the harbor in hopes to save him. Merle chases after her. Van is running through different ally ways and caught up with Folken on a bridge. Folken asks if Van is finally going to join them...
Dilandau is in the Vione with the dragon slayers. He is disturbing his cheek (cheek, chiku, however you spell it in Japanese...) Gatti tells Dilandau that he shouldn't touch the wound like that. He gets a good whack on the head for that one... Dilandau finds out who Folken is with in the bazaar. Van asks Folken why he is with Zaibach. Folken says the day the dragon ripped off his right arm, he died. Dornkirk gave him life again. Hitomi is still rushing through the crowd. Merle is scared because Hitomi had another bad vision. She continues to run. Dilandau gets into the guymelef. I can't tell who it is, either Gatti or Chesta, but he tries to stop Dilandau from leaving. Folken told them to stay in the anchorage, but Dilandau doesn't plan to leave the anchorage... he spots Van through is looky thingy and gets out one claw. Folken still tries to get Van to the dark side. Everyone kills everyone else, so why not join Zaibach to kill them all to stop it? Folken's reasoning is that they fight to stop the fighting. How does that work? Folken says, "Van, come with me so we can start a new world..." he lets up his arms and birds fly by (how cheesy). "Brother..." Hitomi is still trying to reach Van. Dilandau is in the hanger. He set his energist to it's maximum to let out one claw. He shoots!! To get to Van faster, Hitomi rips the bottom of her dress (her new one) and throws her bag to Merle. If she's going to save Van, she has to get to him quickly. His claw goes to Van as quick as it can, as well as Hitomi "VAN!! Watch out!!" Hitomi runs into Van and pushes him out of the way. Dilandau is very upset with what happened and his guymelef breaks. Folken is mad at what Dilandau did. Merle runs up to Van and tells Van that Hitomi keeps saying the weirdest things. The Austurian guards show up and take them to the castle. Folken gets away. They take them to a stadium. Van is with his guymelef and King Aston welcomes them with an open heart (yea, right). He wants to test Van's skill in a guymelef match. Allen is worried about whats going on. In come the other guymelefs. Three come in. They are bounty hunters, so it is an unfair match. Hitomi weary about the match. They surround Van as the screen fades....end of episode 6!
