Hitomi is a 15 year old girl from Earth. She has a mom and a brother, just like most families. Before she went to Gaea, she was just an ordinary girl in highschool. She ejoys running and spending time with her best friend, Yukari. Hitomi's first ture love was Amano. Amano is the best sprinter on the mens track team. He beat 11 seconds on the 100 metre run. Ooo. She recieved a pensent from her Grandmother. Little did Hitomi know that the pendent came from Allen's Dad from Gaea, I believe the pendent came from a driconian. I'm not too sure on that though. On earth, Hitomi enjoyed telling peoples fortune with her tarot cards. She wasn't as physic as she is now, but she was a little bit more right with her predictions than other people. It wasn't until she went to Gaea when her power became hightened. One day she found out that Amano was going to leave the country, so to confess her feelings to Amano, she asked him to give her a kiss if she could run 100 metres in less than 13 seconds. He agrees. In the middle of her run, Van appears from the sky and fights a dragon. When he finally kills it, he is transported back to Gaea, along with Hitomi. On Gaea, Hitomi helps with the good guys fight in the War. During her time on Gaea, many things happen to her. She falls in love with 2 other people, Allen and Van, and her power becomes more powerful. The first time she met Millerna, she didn't really like her too much because Millerna was all over Allen and Hitomi didn't like it too much. At that time, she was in love with Allen (basically because he looks and talks like Amano). Luckily for Hitomi (I guess) Millerna marries Dreydan and Allen asks Hitomi to marry him. Dream come true, eh? But thats not the case. She refuses Allens proposal. She was transported back to Earth (for about, a day or two) and she wants to go back to Gaea to see Van again. So she goes through that whole running thing again and Van comes on Escaflowne to bring her back! Van says (in the english version) that he will never- gets cut off then Hitomi gives him a big hug! Then Hitomi goes to Ziabach with Folken so Folken can kill Dornkirk. He does so and Hitomi is left in Ziabach with that guy, Issac. So she standing there waiting for Van to come save her. Then she gets confused because Van was fighting Allen. She tells him to stop and Van just thinks she worried for Allen. Then Hitomi finally realizes that she loves Van and lets him do his thing, but he stops fighting Allen anyways. Van flies to Ziabachto save her and he does and brings her back to safety. They go back to Fanelia to rebuild the county. At that time, they both know that they love eachother, but know that they can't be togther, so Hitomi is sent back home and will have Van in her heart forever!
