I graduated from the Robert E. Cook Honors College at the Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a B.A. in Anthropology and Religious Studies in May 2004. IUP is in the small town of Indiana in the state of Pennsylvania and has nothing whatsoever to do with the state of Indiana or any universities that may or may not be there.Throughout college I was involved in various progressive causes including Amnesty International, Indiana Voices for Peace, United Students Against Sweatshops, and Pride Alliance. After an aborted stint with the Peace Corps in Bangladesh, I began working on an MA in South Asian Studies in the Fall of 2005.
I have been watching anime since around my sophomore year of high school. What began as an early interest in Ranma 1/2 and Sailormoon exploded when I hit college. My current favorites are Revolutionary Girl Utena, Ayashi no Ceres, and Samurai Champloo.
