Conan Town
|
While I was living in Japan I heard that there was a place in
Tottori prefecture where there were lots of statues of the characters from Detective
Conan. Naturally, as complete Conan fangirl I had to check this out! So, with
my friend Sefilin, I travelled from Osaka to Tottori city and from there on
to a little place called Daiei... or rather, Conan town - Gosho Aoyama-san's
hometown. There we found statues of Conan and Shinichi, billboards, a Conan
shop and a museum with every Conan collectable imaginable (unfortunately not
for sale!).

Shinichi waits outside the
local library. Perhaps Ran is late? There were posters and maps of the town
inside as well as some very useful coin lockers! |

the Shinichi statue outside the library. Yes, he is lifesize! |

with several statues of Conan in various poses as well as some plaques.
