In June 2004 Fuji Television announced plans to partner with Buena Vista International and Gonzo Digimation Holdings to produce an anime adaptation of Miyuki Miyabe's best selling novel Brave Story. Buena Vista International would reportedly co-produce the film in exchange for international distribution rights. Anime News Service has now reported that Warner Bros. has acquired worldwide distribution rights to the movie, scheduled for release in 2006.

Shonen Sunday Magazine has announced that the anime television series adaptation of Fukuchi Tsubasa's ecologically minded comedy manga series Ueki no Housoku will premier on the TV Tokyo network April 4th.
