2/15/05 According to Anime News Service, ABC will begin airing an English dubbed version of the 52 episode 2004 anime television series B-Legend! Battle Beadman

In June 2004 Fuji Television announced plans to partner with Buena Vista International and Gonzo Digimation Holdings to produce an anime adaptation of Miyuki Miyabe's best selling novel Brave Story. Buena Vista International would reportedly co-produce the film in exchange for international distribution rights. Anime News Service has now reported that Warner Bros. has acquired worldwide distribution rights to the movie, scheduled for release in 2006.

ShoPro recently announced that they have the TV, home video, and merchandising rights to Naruto.

A Geneon representative has confirmed that the Appleseed movie Limited Collector's Edition and the LCE with figure will be released in a steel case.


2/14/05 I put up a specially themed Pen Thought in the Pen Penny section. Since that makes five within the last month I decided against moving one into Previous, that and I didn't feel like the extra work.

According to Anime on DVD, a FUNimation representative has revealed plans to release the first three episodes of Tenchi Muyo OAV series 3 this July. The next set of three episodes will follow this fall.

4KIDS TV, formerly known as Fox Box, has scheduled a sneak preview broadcast of "Mew Mew Power" (Tokyo Mew Mew) for Saturday, February 19th.


2/13/05 Hiatus = good times

Things coming out this week inclucing a Blue Seed Box Set (I have the "Perfect Collection" and have had it for some time) and Spriggan: Special Edition (have had normal edition for some time as well and is essentially just normal edition plus soundtrack). I'll actually update tomorrow methinks.


2/5/05 Walt Disney pictures has hired writer Jeff Stockwell to adapt Eiko Kadano series of Witch's Express Mail (also known as Kiki's Delivery Service) children's novels into a live action feature.

2/3/05 Well, I put up three new Pen Thoughts in the Pen Penny section. I also moved some old ones to Previous Pennys. I also got around to archiving the news on this page, only took me a couple of months to get around to it. Cheers.

Disney's El Capitan Theater in Hollywood, California, will host the North American theatrical premier of Howl's Moving Castle on June 10th.

The 2005 New York International Children's Film Festival will screen The Cat Returns on Saturday, March 12th at 11:30AM and Sunday, March 13th at 3:00PM. The film festival will also host the American premier of Katsuhiro Otomo's Steamboy. The director will attend the screening in person

Geneon has announced that the Appleseed movie will be released on domestic DVD on May 10th in three different editions.

Shonen Sunday Magazine has announced that the anime television series adaptation of Fukuchi Tsubasa's ecologically minded comedy manga series Ueki no Housoku will premier on the TV Tokyo network April 4th.
