A.D. Police
Directed by: varies from episode to episode
This 12 episode series begins after Tokyo was destroyed in a large earthquake. Using boomers, androids with artificial intelligence, the Genom Corporation rebuilds Tokyo and the name is changed to Genom City. Occasionally boomers malfunction and become dangerous. The A.D. Police are separate from the normal police and take care of any incidents involving boomers. Kenji Sasaki works for the A.D. Police and seems to have bad luck with his partners, or his partners have bad luck with him. Meanwhile, someone is making boomers malfunction on purpose.
The DVD features are spread over the two disc set containing all twelve episodes. There are production notes, sketches, and artwork. There are also trailers, a clean opening, and a clean closing.
Final Verdict: A.D. Police was a good series. Although twelve episodes long, the plot is not rushed and there are several good action sequences. The plot thickens as the series progresses and more is revealed about its main characters.
