Jin-Roh - The Wolf Brigade Directed by: Hiroyuki Okiura In Japan there is an underground anti-governmental force known as "The Sect." In order to combat them the Capital Police was formed, but with the terrorist movement driven underground, some doubt its uses. There are also rumors of a "Wolf Brigade" spanning from the Capital Police's Special Unit to local police. "The Sect" uses children or women as carriers to move weapons and bombs, they are called "little red riding hoods." In a protest that turns violent a member of the Special Unit hesitates, as a small girl holds a satchel charge. Kazuki Fuse faces the consequences. A world of deceit and intrigue is revealed with secret meetings and plans. The DVD features are slim, or none except for a few trailers. However, this is the skin and bones version there is a special edition with many special features that I will try to get my hands on. Final Verdict: Jin-Roh is a very good movie with plot twists and surprises that keep you involved. The movie is very deep, although it contains some nice action sequences. |
