Ninja Resurrection Directed by: Yasunori Uraya Ninja Resurrection has two parts and the first starts out with Jubei battling a "Child of Heaven" and when he is about to surrender to Jubei without struggle for the guaranteed safety of his people he is tricked into believing Jubei slaughtered children. Jubei must then fight the leader empowered by evil. The second part Jubei is haunted by the previous battle and wants to put up the sword and stop fighting. However, four heroes are brought back to life as vessels of evil and his slain enemy returns as the embodiment of Satan. I am not just avoiding giving away the ending that is how it ends. It just stops, although news was released not long ago that it would be continued. Ninja is an extremely violent and odd watch. The second part seems nice and light-hearted but then goes into a rape scene. The religious content may also offend some people. The DVD features as is standard for ADV interactive menus, English and Japanese languages, and ADV previews, but this one also contains a slide show. Final Verdict: Violent and odd, may be great to some and bad to others. I think it's pretty good, but I would like a conclusion (I know one is in the works). |
