Patlabor 1 The Movie Directed by: Mamoru Oshii The land shortage in Japan has lead to the Babylon Project, which will extend usable land through building it. Machines called labors are mostly conducting this massive amount of work. Recently, labor crime has become a problem and the mobile police force combats this with their own labors. A small team of policemen discover a problem with the Hyper Operating System that had just been installed in every labor in Japan that could lead to their going berserk. The DVD has a trailer for the movie, a trailer for Patlabor 2, and previews. Final Verdict: The movie was entertaining and had some nice characters. It has a pretty good plot as they investigate and ends with a long action sequence after everything's been figured out. All in all, it's a nice movie but nothing groundbreaking in the area of police movies. |
